Review[edit]

Please review my Commons-uploaded picture at here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Filming_of_Barfi!.jpg ----Plea$ant 1623 17:48, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite sure whether it is free, so I have nominated it for deletion. I hope it stays, but not sure about it yet. --Sreejith K (talk) 22:40, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I gave a reply on the nomination page. ----Plea$ant 1623 16:49, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article File:Varahagiri Venkata Giri.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Free equivalents now available: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:V._V._Giri

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on [[Talk:File:Varahagiri Venkata Giri.jpg|the article's talk page]].

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. effeietsanders 12:19, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File:Pokkuveyil.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Pokkuveyil.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:19, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the no rationale tag has now been restored to this file. Before removing it, please add an actual fully-complete rationale. Stifle (talk) 21:04, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you know more about rationales than me, why don't you fix that yourself rather than getting on my nerves? Which policy in Wikipedia says only uploaders should fix image rationales? Its a movie poster and it is used in an infobox, how hard was it for you to fix it yourself? --Sreejith K (talk) 03:01, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete this file mentioned above as I mistakely uploaded it. A duplicate file can be found here . ----Plea$ant 1623 16:21, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an admin. But anyways, you tag the image as a redundant image which is the best fit for this requirement. The image has now been deleted. --Sreejith K (talk) 21:30, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

free replacement found?[edit]

Hello, it looks like you uploaded File:Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.jpg under a FAIR use because the subject is dead and there were no free images. It looks like commons now has a free use image [1] where a reasonable shot of Bhimsen Joshi and his instrument could be cropped for use in his article. I am not big on images so I will let you proceed as appropriate. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:24, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 Done --Sreejith K (talk) 16:57, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Could you take a look at this photo? The uploader added {{cc-by-3.0-BollywoodHungama}} (which only exists on Commons but not on this project) and also added a tag which states that you have reviewed the image (but it seems that you have not edited the file information page). The image seems to come from the wrong website, but I don't know very much about these Bollywood Hungama images. I also know practically nothing about Indian films. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:11, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I could not find this image in Bollywood Hungama. So this file is a {{copyvio}} to me. Please tag it accordingly. --Sreejith K (talk) 14:55, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Picture upload[edit]

Hello Sreejithk2000, I am not sure how to upload files and use them on Wikipedia articles. Few of the files I uploaded have been deleted fur licensing issues and the problem was my ignorance. I am hence asking for your help. This link has a particular picture that I intended to use in article Rucha Gujarathi. Although I had not taken the picture from here but it was deleted since the photos were exactly the same. I did not know at that point how to use the pictures. I have tried reading the help section but am still not sure how to go about it. Can you please help? Thanks Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 06:43, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Speedy deletion nomination of Template:User Twitter[edit]

I would like to know the other duplicates that exist for this template, how/where can i find that out? if you think Template:Twitter and Template:User Twiter are the same, then you might as well tag Template:User Facebook for speedy deletion, since a User:Facebook template already exists. Compfreak7 (talk) 01:30, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See these two. 1) Template:User twitter, 2) Template:User Twitter. The only difference is that T which is lower case in one and upper case in the other. --Sreejith K (talk) 01:31, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, the one with the capital T makes more sense, as it is also a brand name, like Facebook. Plus the one in the small T uses an icon instead of logo, which looks unsatisfactory/inappropriate. Compfreak7 (talk) 07:22, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Logo for Chelsea FC[edit]

You made the Chelsea FC logo [2]

I am in the process of updating and improving English Football logos using this list. I'm up to "C".

My practice has been to go searching on Google for a club's logo, quite often finding their Facebook or Twitter pages and then downloading the image and removing the background using GIMP. Example.

While I have learned a great deal of GIMP skills doing this, I would much rather be creating .svg files instead. I have attempted to use Inkscape to do this but the results have not been very good: copying and pasting an image file into Inkscape, then saving it as a .svg file (after a few modifications) results in an image that is not as "clean" as the ones i have seen elsewhere at Wikipedia, including your Chelsea one.

So I need to ask you - how did you create the Chelsea image? The file info says that you were able to copy it from an official Chelsea document, but obviously you were able to modify it enough and create a high quality .svg image as a result. How?

--One Salient Oversight (talk) 09:49, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I did not create this image. I merely resized it to fit the fair-use guidelines using Inkscape. If you need help, I will recommend Wikipedia:Graphics Lab. My skills is Inkscape is quite mediocre. --Sreejith K (talk) 19:51, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
