A tag has been placed on Dimitri Theodorelos, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Chovain 14:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make personal attacks on other people as you did at Malakas. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create such pages will be blocked from editing by administrators or banned by the arbitration committee. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 15:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Errrrr. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. NawlinWiki 15:16, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Errrrr

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to create inappropriate pages such as Errrrr, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Fut.Perf. 15:17, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Errrrr

[edit]

NawlinWiki you show no respect towards popular terminology in our part of the world. Your reference to the term 'errrrr' as nonsense is disturbing considering the acceptance of the term by the general public. I suggest that you show greater tolerance and acceptance. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stathis Psaltis (talkcontribs) 15:33, 6 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

This is your last warning.
The next time you create an inappropriate page such as An de kans, hans, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. No more articles on you, your friends, your made-up words, or your projects, or you will be blocked from editing. NawlinWiki 16:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Singer articles

[edit]

Hey, nothing against John Tikis or Tasos Bougas, but you badly need some references for these guys to demonstrate they are notable, and you should make sure the articles are in an approprate neutral tone. You haven't yet got a proper welcome, have you? Okay, everybody gets one (and please have a look at those content policies cited below:)

Welcome!

Hello, Stathis Psaltis, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Fut.Perf. 18:20, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could I suggest that mundane editorial disagreements are most likely to resolve quickly and productively when editors observe the following:

  • Remain polite per WP:Civility.
  • Solicit feedback and ask questions.
  • Keep the discussion focused. Concentrate on a small set of related matters and resolve them to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Focus on the subject rather than on the personalities of the editors.

Thanks! DMacks 04:32, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner on Talk:Spirtokouto. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigating edit wars. This is the particular comment to which I am referring. Chovain 03:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't live in your world and I am not at all familiar with the terminology 'edit wars'. I can only assume that edit wars is childish behaviour involving individuals making changes to each others argument. This behaviour does not interest me. Do not accuse me of any such involvement. My motivation is merely to have my entries made available to the Wiki public.

What is interesting is your remark on personal attacks. Please note that NawlinWiki refered to me as nonsense, and I simply used the same expression to describe his/her/its feedback after more alert editors found my entry to be credible.

I suggest you attempt to limit your remarks to commenting on the subject matter and in this case, show some respect to the arts and cinema.

Please advise what, if any, other supporting material you require for 'Spirtokouto'. The only feedback I got from your previous correspondence was commentry on my behaviour and did not address any further references required for Spirtokouto.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stathis Psaltis (talkcontribs) 15:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

In response to your first paragraph: You do live in our world now :). It's worthwhile getting to know it a bit if you'd like to contribute as constructively as possible. Someone put a welcome note on your talk page (above). You might want to have a bit of a look through those links if you haven't already. They help out a little with terminology. A related point, is that you should try to remember to sign your posts on talk page by putting 4 tildes at the end like this: ~~~~. That will put your name at the end of your comment, and make it clearer who is saying what.
My comment above was a little misleading: It was semi-automated. A lot of us use templates for commenting on people's talk pages. The one I left for you is a standard template used when someone is being uncivil, and they are beginning to develop a reputation for it. It was not intended to request more information; it was only meant to remind you to treat other editors with respect.
As for personal attacks. No-one should be referring to you or your edits as nonsenseEdit: looking at the reference to 'nonsense': The page to which he was referring falls far short of Wikipedia's standards. NawlinWiki was using a template when they referred to your edit as 'nonsense', and I can understand that they may have thought you were intentionally causing trouble). But if they do, that does not make it ok for you to be uncivil back. It was not even clear from your edit that you were responding to someone else's incivility. It's generally best under those circumstances to leave a polite message on their talk page reminding them not to make personal attacks, and reply as civilly as possible. A couple of links that are worth reading in this area are: WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL.
Finally, I'm not sure that you will be able to give any more information that will satisfy me that Spirtokouto is worthy of an article (maybe it belongs as a chapter on the article for the relevant award). I originally voted to keep because I thought it was likely the references were out there somewhere. I've changed my vote to delete because I do not believe anyone will be able to find the required references. Wikipedia has a guideline on notability here. Note that it says: "a topic is notable if it has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works, whose sources are independent of the subject itself." The reference you provided is clearly taken from a press-pack. I'd really need to see this at the very least covered in a newspaper article to be satisfied that it is 'notable'.
I realise that there are many articles out there that fail the notability criteria. Editors like me are strict on this so the number of those articles might reduce over time.
Chovain 05:46, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That was a long winded response in saying nothing, I cannot believe that amount of time and resource editors have wasted in debating over a legitimate entry. I thought it would be in everyones best interest to have a diverse and interesting spectrum of articles on Wiki. I will break down my issues in point form because I feel that you are getting lost in detail.

Firstly, here is NawlinWiki's reference to 'nonsense' "Independent Greek film. Article claims it's "award-winning", but doesn't state what the awards are. IMDB listing has very little information. Author has created numerous vanity and nonsense articles. NawlinWiki 16:49, 6 December 2006 (UTC)". And in answer to your comment, I believe editors have the responsibility to set the tone of acceptable communication. If you want to be treated in a civil manner, please be civil.

Also, the reference I provided is not from a press pack. Please check your information. This was easily found on a previous occasion by another editor on the IMDB website. THat is a neutral site and is not associated with the film in any manner. As far as further references are concerned, dont be concerned, there are several. A simple google search can show you this. All references provide a very similar short summary of the film. For example; imdb.com/title/tt0382988/ boutique.info-grece.com/product_info.php/cPath/3_146/products_id/5060 www.mooviees.com/34666-spirtokouto/movie mymovies.imdb.com/title/tt0382988/maindetails www.moviestation.org/movie/29982/Spirtokouto movies.webula.net/titles/?list=S&id=1467

Finally, There is even debate amongst your own editors on if and why you actually need more than one reference source, particular when it is in relation to a small subject matter, and the existing source is reliable. I believe you apply common sense to this situation and utilise your talents to add value to Wiki in other ways rather than squabling like a beauracrat. My intention from the beginning was simply to list this very impressive film on Wiki and not to create excessive work for yourself or myself. Stathis Psaltis 17:05, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"That was a long winded response in saying nothing": I aim to please. I'm glad you appreciated the significant time I put into trying to help you understand the situation, and explaining the wiki-culture.
"Firstly, here is NawlinWiki's reference to 'nonsense'": I strongly suggest you let it rest. Holding grudges will not help anyone here.
This is not the right place to discuss individual references.
If you have any further questions, I suggest you take them to the helpdesk.
Chovain 20:12, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yet again, you have made no comment to the subject matter (ie Spirtokouto) and continue to discuss personalities. Stathis Psaltis 22:14, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This talk page is not for discussing articles or references. This page is a place where editors may discuss you. If you want to discuss Spirtokouto, take it to Talk:Spirtokouto. If you want to discuss the proposed deletion, take it to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spirtokouto.
If we were to discuss articles here, other editors would miss out on the opportunity to contribute. Chovain 23:25, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have done that several days ago but there has been no response and my article is still listed for deletion. I have just updated Talk:Spirtokouto again. Stathis Psaltis 00:06, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Stathis Psaltis! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 765 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Errikos Litsis - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 10:36, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Tasos Bougas, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tasos Bougas. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. MBisanz talk 04:51, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Mitsos has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable nickname. Not suitable as a disambig as only one article title contains it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 15:57, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
