Districts of Reykjavík[edit]

I see that you are creating articles for districts of Reykjavík. The three that I have seen are all one sentence stub articles. Are you able to expand them? If not they may be better as redirects to Reykjavík. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 23:05, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Updating archived links[edit]

We usually don't update archived links to moved pages. There is a working redirect at 2008–2011 Icelandic financial crisis so an update is unnecessary, and potentially confusing when the archive is clearly from before 2012. PrimeHunter (talk) 04:22, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Lúðvík Geirsson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Articles on various Althing members[edit]

Hi! Ive spent some time tagging a number of biographies from current parliament members in Iceland. The notability tag is placed because the article itself gives no indication of notability. You might think about expanding each of the articles from the material in the official Althing biography. The articles need other sources which point to notability. Newspaper articles, etc that point out important activities of the subjects would help. I am writing this with the hope that it is helpful since you have taken on a number of new articles which will need attention. Keep on editing! Stormbay (talk) 22:01, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Geirs H. Haarde requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Empty categories[edit]

You created dozens of empty categories, e.g. Category:1918 establishments in Iceland. Empty categories are normally speedy deleted. Having redlinks in lists of categories (i.e. "by year") is not a problem, but the cats should only be created if at least one article is in them. Please stop creating empty categories. Fram (talk) 09:01, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been creating a bunch of related articles lately that make use of those categories - about 13 articles just yesterday. I have many more articles to create about the same subject and I just got tired of creating the categories ad hoc. Don't worry, I'm done for now with the categories.
