Image tagging for Image:ALCESTIS_1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ALCESTIS_1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ARISTO Developers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Top Jim (talk) 15:24, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at List of companies of Cyprus, you may be blocked from editing. VQuakr (talk) 07:54, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Aristo Developers

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Aristo Developers, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 07:55, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. VQuakr (talk) 07:56, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree! I just added one of the cyprus companies expanding the list! You should then remove the rest as well..

Yes, I did remove the other redlinked companies from the article as well. Thanks! VQuakr (talk) 18:26, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Aristo Developers

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Aristo Developers. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 07:57, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Aristo Developers

[edit]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Aristo Developers. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 08:03, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 days for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest policy and notability guidelines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I did not advertise but just add some information. I have found several examples like mine and these are published...

Decline reason:

We don't get to write about ourselves or our businesses on Wikipedia. As you appear to be the web developer for Aristo Developers, you have far too much of a conflict of interest to be writing about that company. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:41, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • You "just added" information of a totally promotional nature, including such language as "one of the most dynamic innovative Cyprus property developer companies" and so on. If you sincerely did not see that as promotional then you lack the ability to see things from the detached perspective necessary to edit Wikipedia, and should probably be blocked indefinitely, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and leave the block at its current length. As for other similar articles, yes, unfortunately they do exist. However, the existence of some promotional articles does not justify the existence of more of them: see WP:OTHERSTUFF. If not then I believe you should allow us have a similar page...
