An extended welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.

Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Ronz (talk) 17:01, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I need to make changes to my company's Wikipedia page. The information currently presented for Santa Fe Relocation is outdated and not accurate. Since Suitcasesub is the account used only to review edits for the page, we'd like to have this account unblocked so we will be able to provide true and informative information regarding the company. Edits will only verifiable and will the purpose of providing accurate information to the public surfing Wikipedia. I'm presenting here some of the reasons why edits are needed. Santa Fe Relocation has gone through radical structural change in the past few years, from leadership to customer base. + It’s stated that Santa Fe Relocation is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, that is not true since the company is now privately owned; + Santa Fe Relocation is no longer affiliated with WridgWays like shown this being a subsidiary. They are not doing business with them (they are a separated company based in Australia), even if historically related; + Accreditations are outdated and are not limited to those listed in the page. We look forward to having a positive feedback. Thank you very much Suitcasesub (talk) 12:28, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, hereby I would like to explain why the block of the account Suitcase is no longer necessary. The account is used to genuinely provide value to Wikipedia and not to cause any damage or disruption. The purpose of using this account in the future will therefore only be to make useful and valuable contributions. These contributions will be carefully reviewed before submission to Wikipedia in order to present truthful and relevant information. Mistakes and wrongdoings of any kind from the past have been carefully examined and will not be repeated. Moreover, all policy pages and documents have been reviewed, so no harm will be made against the platform. This account was actually handed over to myself to manage my company's Wikipedia page (only and no other pages), which currently contains misleading and wrong information. Trust this time you can grant the unblock so I can continue provide with useful contribution to Wikipedia. With gratitude. Suitcasesub (talk) 12:57, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
