Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "TU official", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:30, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I had two concerns here. I would ask you if "TU" references a company name of some kind. If "TU" is your initials(you do not need to reveal your full name), that would be OK. Second, usernames that contain "official" are usually used by a representative of the named person, and not the named person themselves. If "TU" is your initials and you are TU, you should change your name to remove the "official" by making a request as described above. You could simply register a new name, but if I were you I would want my edit history transferred. 331dot (talk) 10:41, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
All usernames were made global some time ago across all language versions of Wikipedia, so it is no longer possible to change your name only on one language version of Wikipedia. Considering that, I would suggest that you change your name to replace official with almost anything else that would not suggest more than one person is using this name, perhaps something to indicate the area you seem to be editing in like "TU rail fan" or something similar. I will not pursue this further, so you could simply do nothing and leave this conversation visible so others are aware of your situation, but I cannot guarantee others will not have the same concern and take action. Best wishes 331dot (talk) 10:54, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Hybrid Electric Train

Hello, TU official. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Hybrid Electric Train".

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
