Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

Hello Tahoeob,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Projectlibre, may be copied from http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectlibre/. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:57, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for the message.... we are actually the developers of OpenProj We were acquired by Serena Software and they publicly on their website had an explicit note "OpenProj is no longer supported. Please download ProjectLibre" We are the same team that developed OpenProj. Serena did not want to continue OpenProj and it had not been supported for over 10 years and they publicly noted that ProjectLibre was the successor project. This is not promotion. We respectfully request you contact us and we will be pleased to further let you know the reasons Serena Software was requesting users switch to ProjectLibre. That was not our comments as we have nothing to do anymore with Serena

A tag has been placed on Projectlibre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vandalism on OpenProj[edit]

Hi Tahoeob! I have repeatedly corrected / reverted the edits that you do to OpenProj, since you are vandalizing this article by making advertising for ProjectLibre and litter OpenProj with negative advertisment. I favor ProjectLibre and wish you all the best for your wonderful project, but nevertheless wikipedia is NOT an advertising platform nor a kind of battlefield for software projects, where you just go to an article of a software project and vandalize it in favor of another. Please stop this and understand that we are an encyclopedia and therefore bound to objectiveness and dispassion. Thank you. I will be happy to talk to you again on projectlibre.org. Best regards --Tomakos (talk) 23:31, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tomakos and thank you for the note, I had mentioned that Serena Software (owner of OpenProj) on their website explictly asked for users not to download OpenProj as it was corrupted and they were not supporting the software. They again, explicitly asked for users to download ProjectLibre instead. We are good stewards and not performing vandalism. We get repeated angry messages from people using OpenProj who are angry their projects (after many hours of work) are corupted and cannot be opened. We explain, that we are not OpenProj and that Serena had specific warnings not to download but in the open source world the repository continued to exist. Once again, we are not advertising but doing our best to avoid further issues for the user community.

Thank you for your attention and comments!

[[ I have not received a single penny in over 6 years trying to provide the world with an open source alternative to proprietary project management software. There was clearly no paid editting an I have responded to the OpenProj issue. Serena Software discontinued all support of OpenProj and on their website had an clear note 'not to download OpenProj as it was not supported' On the Serena website they specifically requested downloading ProjectLibre. OpenProj has a data corruption issue were people that had spent many hours of work would lose their project files with corrupt file formats. At ProjectLibre.org we get angry emails and explain that Serena owns OpenProj and had provided notice. I am sorry if inadvertently things have been violated. We have spent 6 years with $0.00 compensation trying to provide open source project management software around the world. Please advise and appreciate your attention! Peace ]]

This statement confirms you have an undisclosed Conflict of Interest in this subject which is on the same page as Paid Editing. You should not be editing the article as you have been told prior. The edits you have made to the article are promotional in tone and are not sourced by a reliable source. You are NOT considered a reliable source, you are considered highly biased. If you wish to see changes to the article request them on the talk page and hopefully someone will come and make the changes for you. The only changes you should make if you can't help yourself would be to simple facts, such as the most recent version number and/or the release date.
