July 2023[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Bmcintern", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent a position within a company or organization instead of an individual person.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. I am also concerned that you may be writing about a topic where you have a personal or professional connection, but have not made disclosures in accordance with our paid editing disclosure policy and conflict of interest guidelines. Your disclosure here is not sufficient. Since you are considered to be a paid editor, you must prominently display this disclosure on your userpage (User:Bmcintern). You do not have to be paid specifically to edit Wikipedia for this policy to apply; and even if your internship is unpaid, your internship is itself considered to be compensation.
If you were directed to edit Wikipedia by your superiors, then you and they both should review Wikipedia:When your boss tells you to edit Wikipedia. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 19:59, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello- my username is changed! I am still just editing and will go through and do make sure the disclosure and COI is valid for the wikipedia rules. The page is not ready for publishing- this was just for me to put in as a reminder. Taliaf193 (talk) 13:09, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can see that your username has been changed. However, your proper paid editing disclosure takes priority over any further work on your article. Please do this before making any more sandbox edits. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:23, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I see that you have made the proper disclosures. One mistake though, the {{connected contributor (paid)}} template is meant for the article talk page, not your user talk page. You also didn't fill in the parameters (username, employer, client).
I have moved it for you to its proper place, User talk:Taliaf193/sandbox. Based on what you wrote on your userpage, I also took the liberty of filling in the parameters. Is the department of medicine formally named the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences? If so, it might be beneficial to use that as the client name. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:05, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
