May 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm DVdm. I wanted to let you know that one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Quantum mechanics— has been undone because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thank you. DVdm (talk) 07:23, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Open Yale Courses. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. DVdm (talk) 07:26, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to FutureLearn, you may be blocked from editing. DVdm (talk) 07:31, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did with this edit to FutureLearn. DVdm (talk) 07:32, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User page content[edit]

Hello Tanuja Dey, please see Wikipedia:User pages and WP:COI for additional info about valid usages of your user pages, and for Wikipedia's guidelines about editing with a possible conflict of interest. I have removed the promotional (and unsourced) content, but please feel free to ask on my user talkpage or at WP:Teahouse if you have additional questions. You are welcome to contribute sourced, non-promotional information within our "conflict of interest" guidelines, but Wikipedia is not a PR platform to promote your product or such applications in general. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 10:08, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
