Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Tarsame Mittal. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Tarsame Mittal, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 21:11, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

- We have been trying to make a Wikipedia for Tarsame Mittal, can you please unblock the account and guide us properly and where are we going wrong Tarsame Mittal (talk) 13:17, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
- A person is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because they exist. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a person, they must meet the notability criteria for people. And in the case of a person who is still alive, an article must meet the strict requirements of Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons.
- If you are the person that you have been writing about, then you should not do so, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. We have no interest in what a person wishes to say about themselves, as this is an inherent conflict of interest.
- If you are not the person that you are writing about, then your account name should not match this person's name. Should this person ever become notable, then your account name would be considered impersonation.
- Your use of the word "we" also implies that more than one person has access to this account. Access to Wikipedia accounts can never be shared. The person who creates the account must be the only one with access to it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:32, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- On this page you have twice written "My Name is Tarsame Mittal and I am a Businessman, Talent Manager", whereas in UTRS appeal number 76980 you wrote "This page is created for a living person and is not made by Tarsame Mittal himself", confirming that more than one person has used this account. JBW (talk) 08:23, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- I acknowledge my error in understanding the Wikipedia guidelines. I will make sure only my account, the one used initially, is the only account used to make and edit this page. Please help me create this page successfully at the earliest! Tarsame Mittal (talk) 08:30, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Instructions on how to post an unblock request are given above. If you choose to do so then I very strongly recommend reading the guide to appealing blocks first. However, you are not likely to be unblocked in order to create a page written to promote, publicise, or extol Tarsame Mittal, be he yourself, your client, your friend, or whatever. That is not what Wikipedia is for. JBW (talk) 09:37, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- It's a humble request to unblock the draft otherwise I will loose my job Tarsame Mittal (talk) 11:22, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry for your circumstances, but any real-life consequences that result from your block are not our concern. If you are being directed by a superior to make these edits, please read Wikipedia:When your boss tells you to edit Wikipedia. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:33, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
