Can some one offer advice on editing my article on the National Student Housing Survey. We have loads of independent sources and information to add to the article and I am new to Wikipedia editing.

I just submitted a basic draft for review.

Hi Tcannonrb. You copied and pasted copyrighted content to the draft and so I'm afraid it had to be deleted. You are welcome to write an article in your own words if there are sufficient reliable sources to cite to verify the content and demonstrate notability, but you must not infringe on copyrighted text in doing so. Please note that if you are a representative of NSHS and have control over that copyrighted content, that does not mean you can use it here while NSHS retained non-free copyright ownership. Rather, we could only use it if you or someone else with ownership over the copyright released it to the world under a compatible free copyright license (or into the public domain and did that release in a verifiable way); we could not use it simply with NSHS' permission for our use here. Thanks Fuhghettaboutit - I have now put the offending paragraph in my own words. I am a representative of the NSHS but understand the need for public domain release.

I would like to add pictures of the awards which how do I upload these?

Also am I refrencing correctly? Any other help or advice woulde be great.

For the referencing you may want to take a look at Template:Cite web; the template documentation explains the available parameters. In particular, citations should come with a title, and the "first1" parameter is meant to be the given name of the first author (or the only author, if there's just one); it should be accompanied by a "last1=" parameter for the last name, if the author's name is available. Otherwise it should be left empty and you should just use the "publisher=" parameter for the publisher instead (or in addition). For example, the reference to the Lancaster University press release could look like this:

{{cite web|url=http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/study/accommodation/awards/ |title=Our Award-Winning Accommodation |publisher=[[Lancaster University]] |accessdate=2015-02-18}}

, which will give: "Our Award-Winning Accommodation". Lancaster University. Retrieved 2015-02-18.

The <ref name="Some name"> code doesn't have anything to do with the displayed name; it's an internal name given to the Wikipedia reference itself in case you want to re-use it, for example because the same newspaper article shall be cited for two statements in different parts of the article. See WP:Referencing for beginners#Same reference used more than once for details on re-using references.

However, Wikipedia content should be based on reliable third-party sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines reporting on the NSHS in some detail, not just the NSHS and the recipients of its awards. With the possible exception of the Red Brick article, your current references do not meet this standard.
