In particular, scanning an image doesn't give you any control over its copyright. Whoever took the original photograph almost certainly still holds copyright to it, so this is not in the public domain. --Amble (talk) 03:17, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Please stop uploading images you don't own the copyright to, and making inappropriate edits to articles. You're only likely to get yourself blocked that way. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Mccain pic.JPG[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:Mccain pic.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
