Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to East Timor. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 08:06, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
A summary of site guidelines and policies you need to know
[edit]- "Truth" is not the criteria for inclusion, verifiability is.
- Always cite a source for any new information. When adding this information to articles, use <ref>reference tags like this</ref>, containing the name of the source, the author, page number, publisher or web address (if applicable).
- We do not publish original thought nor original research. We're not a blog, we're not here to promote any ideology.
- Reliable sources typically include: articles from magazines or newspapers (particularly scholarly journals), or books by recognized authors (basically, books by respected publishers). Online versions of these are usually accepted, provided they're held to the same standards. User generated sources (like Wikipedia) are to be avoided. Self-published sources should be avoided except for information by and about the subject that is not self-serving (for example, citing a company's website to establish something like year of establishment).
- Articles are to be written from a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is not concerned with facts or opinions, it just summarizes reliable sources. Real scholarship actually does not say what understanding of the world is "true," but only with what there is evidence for. In the case of science, this evidence must ultimately start with physical evidence. In the case of religion, this means only reporting what has been written and not taking any stance on doctrine.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Koltsovo Airport.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Koltsovo Airport.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Possible copyright violation(s)
[edit]Your contributions are appreciated. You are very welcome here. But, I have encountered possible copyright violation(s). Some or all of the content you added in a recent edit to Cookie appears to be copy pasted from http://www.kitchenproject.com/history/cookies.htm
Please remember that you must write in your own words. We cannot copy and paste from other websites. If I have made an error, please accept my apologies.
For further information, please read Wikipedia:Copyright violations.
Are any of your other edits copy pasted? What about this one?
If you have questions, please ask. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:25, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Fashion Week in Kazakhstan.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Fashion Week in Kazakhstan.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:45, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Hidden Singer Logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hidden Singer Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:45, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Copyright violations at Cookie
[edit]You just added the same copyrighted content as before, but this time, without the reference.
Again, you are not allowed to copy paste content like that. You have a history of copyright violations, and you must please stop.
If you upload an image that you do not own, please read Wikipedia:Non-free content first. Most likely, you should not upload the image. But, understanding image copyright policy is not so easy. Please read, read, read, and only when you are certain, upload.
As for text, well, that is easy. If the source says the content is public domain, fine. Take a look at the bottom of http://www.kitchenproject.com/history/cookies.htm and you will see "© 1998-2005 The Kitchen Project ". The © means copyrighted.
If you persist in adding copyrighted content to Wikipedia pages, you may be blocked from editing.

Please stop
[edit]You just uploaded File:Udon at a Yamagoeudon restaurant in Ayagawa-cho, shikoku, japan.jpg as a picture you took yourself. I do not believe that. It appears at 9 different websites in different sizes and crops and dates.
If you add any more copyrighted material to Wikipedia that you do not own, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You are, of course, welcome to explain all of this. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:06, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
Do you own these or did you get them from the Internet somewhere?
Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:14, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
Could you please explain this?
I have encouraged you to discuss your edits. You have not responded. You persist in uploading images that I think are not your own property. Other images and text are plainly copyright violations. You are making edits that show that you do not quite understand how to contribute. Please stop and read some of the links in the welcome message. Please do not make further edits until you are sure of what you are doing. I am here if you need to ask questions. I can help. Please stop and discuss things. Thank you. Copyright violations are taken seriously here. When you return, if you commit any further copyright violations, you may be blocked from editing again. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:27, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Mega Astana
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Mega Astana requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Replaceable fair use File:Hwang Jung-eum.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hwang Jung-eum.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:26, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

The article K.M. Walton has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Roches (talk) 04:12, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
