Hello TeamGale,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Bad Hair Day (Modern Family), may be copied from http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/modern-family/photos/episode-416-bad-hair-day. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 03:21, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bad Hair Day (Modern Family) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/modern-family/photos/episode-416-bad-hair-day. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Uberaccount (talk) 03:23, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

First off, I've restored the talk page: it only got deleted because the article was deleted, and since you want to create the article again, it would be silly for the talk page to stay deleted. Second, I'm not clear what you're asking me to do, but let me go back and reread it. Either I'll come back and ask for clarification, or I'll come back and tell you what I've done. Nyttend (talk) 11:40, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks :) TeamGale (talk) 11:44, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I've restored the page. I've followed a rather unorthodox pattern: normally I'd either restore it or tell you that it couldn't be restored because of copyright issues. However, since it appears that you wrote everything except the plot description, I copy/pasted the deleted contents to the new page after removing the plot; this meets our attribution standards because I noted that you'd written it. The only differences between the page now and before it was deleted are (1) Plot text is removed; (2) I've added the URL of the plot, so you can easily find it again; and (3) I've removed the tag that marked the page as a copyright violation. You should be ready to go now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at my talk page, but please note that I'll be on the road all day (it's not yet 8AM on my time zone, and I'll be offline into the late afternoon at earliest) on a trip of nearly 700 km, so if you have a question and don't feel like waiting, you should probably go to the Help Desk. Nyttend (talk) 11:48, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Just back from my trip; after a bunch of time waiting in the auto repair shop, I was on the road for eight hours. I've looked through the new article and have two requests: (1) Could you add one or more sources to the new plot section? I see a bunch of stuff that's not in the ABC source, so it would be helpful if you'd add a link to the website or a standard citation to the printed source where you got this information. (2) Some copyediting is needed; bits such as "comes to ask her a boa" are hard to understand, and the sentences starting with "But" or containing "cause" could benefit from a tone change, because they're rather less formal than the style we try to use. If you have any questions, remember that you should feel free to ask me for help. Nyttend (talk) 02:01, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
In college, I had a couple of friends from Larnaca; I don't remember discussing road trips with one of them, but the other friend and I were part of a group that took a Greyhound trip from Pittsburgh to Denver. I think she would have backed out beforehand if she'd had any idea how long we were going to be in the bus :-) Unfortunately, I can't answer your question about sourcing; it seems common for "Plot summary" sections not to have too many sources, but it doesn't seem to make sense to me — watching the episode and writing what happens seems to be the same as any other situation in which you're taking a primary source and interpreting what happens. I'd advise that you go to WP:HD to ask; there's probably a better place, but I don't know where it is. Nyttend (talk) 17:54, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

TeamGale, this is to recognize you for the hard work you've exhibited since you began editing two weeks ago. By my count, you have already created nearly 30 articles for TV show episodes, including about 20 for Modern Family. Also, you obviously care a lot about proper editing because your history shows that you do not hesitate to seek guidance when you're unsure about something, and you appear to work in a friendly and cooperative manner with other editors. Keep up the great work. Wikipedia could use a lot more new editors like you! 76.189.109.155 (talk) 02:57, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Species in Defiance

I'm running into some problems over on Talk:Species in Defiance. Jack Sebastian has been harassing me about "reliable sources" (granted, it took me a while to put in citations). Now he's saying that information from the official Facebook and Tumblr pages isn't a reliable source. For that matter, he's even questioning citations from the official website, or from within episodes themselves (I cited that Dr. Yewll smokes a cigarette but says they're bad for her health...and he doesn't consider this a reliable source). Moreover, his response is to play the old tactic of accusing me of starting a revert war for undoing his inexplicable deletions. If I'm wrong about how reliable these citations are, well then I'm wrong. But his extreme deletionist viewpoint is increasingly absurd. Please come over to the Talk page for "Species in Defiance" to weigh in on this.--Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici (talk) 19:27, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Misplaced edit for a template.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Misplaced edit for a template.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. It's really nice to see a new editor creating articles such as Fire/Ice that are more than a stub, cited well, and with obviously good intentions. Minor edits

Hi TeamGale and thank you for your contributions. Just noticed that all of your edits are coming up marked as minor. They aren't actually minor edits. The detail is here, but basically "a good rule of thumb is that edits consisting solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content should be flagged as minor edits." Adding or removing content/external links or references isn't considered minor even though you may (perfectly reasonably) see them as being uncontroversial. Just something to bear in mind. Regards and happy editing, danno_uk 02:32, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Thank you so much for the tip danno uk. I had read about what is minor a very long time ago and I didn't remember everything on it. I guess I'll have to read it again to refresh my memory. I went with the thought that adding an external link would be a minor edit but it's not. I'll have it in mind from now on in case I want to add any more links to articles. Thanks again. Just a quick note to tell you that T59209 is getting fixed. It appears that the problem was just at typo in the code (a search-and-replace action gone bad, I believe). Feedback needed on using special characters

Hello. Thank you so much for using VisualEditor. Having editors use it is the best way for the Wikimedia Foundation to develop it into the best tool it can be.

While we always welcome general feedback (please report any issues in Bugzilla in the "VisualEditor" product or drop your feedback on the central feedback page on MediaWiki.org), the developers are especially interested right now in feedback on the special character inserter. This new tool is used for inserting special characters (including symbols like , IPA pronunciation symbols, mathematics symbols, and characters with diacritics). It is intended to help people whose computers do not have good character inserters. For example, many Mac users prefer to use the extensive "Special Characters…" tool present at the bottom of the Edit menu in all applications or to learn the keyboard shortcuts for characters like ñ and ü.

The current version of the special characters tool in VisualEditor is very simple and very basic. It will be getting a lot of work in the coming weeks and months. It does not contain very many character sets at this time. (The specific character sets can be customized at each Wikipedia, so that each project could have a local version with the characters it wants.) But the developers want your ideas at this early stage about ways that the overall concept could be improved. I would appreciate your input on this question, so please try out the character inserter and tell me what changes to the design would (or would not!) best work for you.

Screenshot of the Insert menu in VisualEditor
The "insert" pulldown on the task bar of VisualEditor will lead you to the '⧼visualeditor-specialcharacterinspector-title⧽' tool.
Screenshot of Special Characters tool
This is the ⧼visualeditor-specialcharacterinspector-title⧽ inserter as it appears on many wikis. (Some may have customized it.) Your feedback on this tool is particularly important.

Issues you might consider:

  • Do you normally use a character inserter? Which character sets are useful to you? Should it include all 18 of the character sets provided in the wikitext editor's newer toolbar at the English Wikipedia, the 10 present in the older editor toolbar, or some other combination of character sets?
  • How many special characters would you like to see at one time?
    • Should there be a "priority" or "favorites" section for the 10 or 12 characters that most editors need most often? Is it okay if you need an extra click to go beyond the limited priority set?
    • How should the sections be split up? Should they be nested? Ordered?
    • How should the sections be navigated? Should there be a drop-down? A nested menu?
  • The wikitext editor has never included many symbols and characters, like and . Do you find that you need these missing characters? If the character inserter in VisualEditor includes hundreds or thousands of special characters, will it be overwhelming? How will you find the character you want? What should be done for users without enough space to display more than a few dozen characters?
  • Should the character inserter be statically available until dismissed? Should it hover near the mouse? Should it go away on every selection or 10 seconds after a selection with no subsequent ones?
  • Some people believe that the toolbar already has too many options—how would you simplify it?

The developers are open to any thoughts on how the special character inserter can best be developed, even if this requires significant changes.

Please leave your views on the MediaWiki feedback page (your regular username/password works there), or, if you'd prefer, you can contact me directly on my talk page. It would be really helpful if you can tell me how frequently you need to use special characters in your typical editing and what languages are important to you.

Thank you again for your work with VisualEditor and for any feedback you can provide. I really do appreciate it. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 23:42, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Bonnie Sheila Bennett

Hi, um, I wanted to create a page for Bonnie Bennett. I tried doing it one time, but someone deleted. I wanted to know why, because, if there's a page for Katherine Pierce, who has been featured in less episodes of TVD, shouldn't Bonnie be a good candidate for a character page? Tyler Gracyne, Yours Truly :) (talk) 17:06, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello Tyler. Personally I don't edit/create articles about characters or living people because they need much more work on the references and sources and I don't have that time to do it. From what I can see in the page I could find and that was removed, the reason that was given is that the page was not notable. I don't see any references or sources to back up the information on the article, so I can understand why it was removed. I don't see your name in the history of that page so I guess you are talking about a whole different one that was deleted completely..? I don't know if you used any sources on your page but to know why it was deleted you should contact the administrator who deleted the page at the time and ask them. I can't give you an answer on why it was deleted.
On the fact that Katherine has a page while she was in less episodes doesn't mean anything. From what I can see, Katherine's page is also missing sources and can easily be removed as well. Just because something that is not written right on Wikipedia exists, doesn't mean that we have to copy it. The ideal would be all the main characters to have their own article but to do that reliable sources are needed. If you think you can find enough reliable sources to create an article about Bonnie try it on your sandbox and when it's ready you can ask from the people who are reviewing articles to let you know if it's notable or not and if it's not what it's needed to be improved.
I am sorry that I can't help you more with that. I think there are pages where you can ask for help and where people can guide you how to write a good article but I don't know their links. You can ask about it on the Help Desk. TeamGale 17:45, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Reviews for The Vampire Diaries (Season 5) episode Home

Earlier I was going through reviews (no particular reason just bored) and I remember seeing one that said Paul and Ian were under contract for up to and including Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries (Might have been one from another episode (previous one maybe)) Anyway, if you see it while creating the page, (if you do, if not then nevermind) then can you add it to the Season 6 page as a source for Damon and Stefan returning next season.--Ditto51 (My Talk Page) 21:41, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Nevermind found it [1] and [2]--Ditto51 (My Talk Page) 21:45, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Series Regulars / Main Cast of a TV Show

I've been doing some work over at Continuum and am currently working on making a list of characters page. While the main cast for the third season is clear thanks to the new opening sequence the first couple aren't so useful... So I was wondering what you would say determines a main cast member, especially if their name appears in the middle of other main cast listed for an episode. (There appears to be no pattern to the order for the first episode). Thanks. :)--Ditto51 (My Talk Page) 18:18, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

Ditto51 I am not watching the specific show and I have no idea how its opening sequence is. You mean in the first season they list the guest or recurring actors among the main ones? If yes then personally I would try to find the main cast via the show's official page in the network. If not and they just shuffle the names of the main cast then there is no problem I guess. You just write the names in any order, probably the way they appear on the first episode and if new main actors are added in later episodes, you add them at the end of the list. I am sorry I can't help more but, I've never heard of the specific show before and I don't know how they made its opening... TeamGale 06:18, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, please could you explain this edit to me? I don't know much about the Emmys, but the source name says "Save the Date: Primetime Emmys Airs on Aug. 25". Where is 16 August coming from? Thanks, Matty.007 13:09, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Hello User:Matty.007. August 16 is the date for the Creative part of the Emmys that always takes place a week earlier than the one we see live on TV. It is mentioned at the end of the source. You can see the date for the Primetime Emmys (August 25) at the third line of the article. TeamGale 13:40, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Deletion of DWTS US season pages

Are they allowed? : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Dancing_with_the_Stars_(U.S._season_1) I'd answer myself saying us people watch the show, and we know what the scores are. You can't expect us to add a reference to whom wins. Other pages don't. Will you fight for this? I know I might. This is wrong. Every episode is marked with CORRECT and ACURRATE scores because people watch the show. Is there a need for references? The other DWTS season pages contain scores just like the US version. I am frankly against the request. Are you?

Callmemirela (talk) 02:53, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Callmemirela thanks for your comment. I already commented on the post about it. If they allowed? Well...everything is allowed I guess but, I don't see anyone else agree with the deletion nomination. Some things can be sourced for sure but it will take time to find the sources after such a long time, especially for the early seasons. But many things the person who nominated the articles for deletion says that they need source such the scores and the dances, don't really need a source since those things are included to the aired episode. We'll see what happens. An administrator needs to check the subject but I want to believe that they articles will remain. TeamGale 00:21, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

AldezD

Should we bother about their stupid edit for unreferenced templates and blah blah blah on DWTS season 19? I am truly annoyed. What does this person want? It's become more than "It is unsourced" problem if you ask me. I cannot wait until the pages are kept, and hopefully this person will stop. I am getting truly more than annoyed. Possibly frustrated. Callmemirela (talk) 03:07, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Callmemirela I already answered him/her on the talk page...if he/she reverts again it's a 3RR rule and he/she will get blocked. I don't know what exactly the problem is. Everyone on the deletion nomination voted for the articles to be kept and still tries to pass his/her way without discussion. TeamGale 03:11, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
TeamGale They reverted an edit of mine after you. Who shall remove the templates? I love how we're in sync and virtually agreeing on matters. Too much? Sorry (: Anyways, who shall revert the edits? Callmemirela (talk) 03:15, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Callmemirela We both already reverted 2 times...don't revert again. An admin needs to step in here because this cannot continue like this. TeamGale 03:18, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
TeamGale I totally agree. This has gone far too long, and I don't know what this person is trying to get at. Should we contact an admin or wait until the articles' nomination discussion to close? That should be done by Wednesday or Thursday Callmemirela (talk) 03:21, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Callmemirela Let's wait for an admin to close the discussion. Others might edit the article too till then. TeamGale 03:26, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
TeamGale Okay, thank you for helping! I couldn't had handle this on my own. Callmemirela (talk) 03:29, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Deletion nomination of DWTS

I am apologizing beforehand for contacting you once more. This is about the deletion nomination of DWTS. The discussion has been relisted. Is that a good or bad thing? If so, how? I went through the Wikipedia pages explaining this topic, but it is not thorough enough for me to understand. Callmemirela (talk) 02:20, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Callmemirela There is no need to apologize :) I don't really know why it was relisted. From what I can understand from the explanation that was written, they suspect that some people used more than one names or IPs to post their "vote" and they want to count them out. But still, even with that, all the other votes are against the deletion. As I've seen people already complain about this being relisted. Hope an admin can see the issue soon and close the subject. I don't think they'll delete the pages (that would be a little crazy in my opinion to do it) but they might ask references in some of the articles. From a quick look in past seasons, there are things that need to be referenced. If I had the time I would try to do it but it's too much work. I tried to reference only Derek Hough's page in matter of his partners and the eliminations/wins and it took me hours to find sources! I can't imagine how that will be for a whole season. Sure most recent seasons are easier to find sources but the most recent seasons are mostly well done referenced already. Let's wait for admins to see the subject and what they'll say. TeamGale 05:02, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Changed physical appearance on DWTS season 19

Again, apologies for contacting you. The last message have mostly been from me. So, AldezD has taken another turn. I truly loathe this editor. They have now change the appearance for the judges scores from the weekly scores table WITHOUT a discussion. This person has been acting like they are an admin or as if they own the page. Am I the only one noticing this? Just yesterday night, they kept removing content for week 2 in the weekly scores. I told them off, and they stopped. I am heavily annoyed by them, and I don't know how to deal with them. They will reason with me by adding some BS wikipedia policy. They change everything WITHOUT discussion. The judges scores, the tables, the templates, and it goes on. Thoughts? Ideas how to deal with them?

ETA #1: I reviewed WP:OWN, and it is exactly what they're doing. The page is becoming an WP:EW because of them by removing content, undone by editors and what not. I am more and more certain to discuss about this with AldezD. If it doesn't help, maybe an admin will have to interfere.

AldezD (#2)

Hi again,

Forget my previous message. I decided to confront the editor about our issues (our as in the editors). I've had my breaking point. I also want to tell you that I would appreciate commentary from you to support what I am saying as it seems you are. I will comment back on the DWTS on the talk page after 4 PM (EST). Include anything you want in your commentary, expect no cussing. We will try to do this in good faith. If this issue is still not resolved or it has become worse, we will have to reach an admin. I will try to reach other members (I know there are a handful of editors that are going to reach their breaking point) for their comments as well. In the meantime, please keep reverting the editor's edits from the page's physical appearance. They do not own the page, so this is unnacceptable and I will not stand by it. And I don't want to be the only one to have a matter on this issue, when the rest won't speak up.

Thank you Callmemirela (talk) 12:13, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello Callmemirela. I was not on WP for the past days and saw your first message a while ago. I went to the talk page to comment. I guess I was writing while you were probably leaving me the second message that I just saw. I hope this thing will be solved soon...don't know what more I can say about the specific editor...first comes and nominates all articles for deletion and now this... Thanks for letting me know about those changes because if I am not here many days I usually go straight to the page and I don't know what happens in between. TeamGale 12:32, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

Under Pressure

Hello Teamgale :)

I see you removed my contribution for this episode. I don't know if you saw it, but, although Lilly appears in the story, she is actually absent from the birthday scene (or i didn't see her) so why did you remove the contribution ? :-) Notice that I'm rather curious than angry because i liked very much this episode and saw her several times, so i don't understand why you removed my contribution. Sincerely Yours, Swinslokw (talk) 12:57, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello Swinslokw. I am sorry, it was my bad I didn't write the reason. I usually write a summary on my edits, at least most of the times. The reason is that Lily not being at the party is an unnecessary detail. On the plots we try to focus on the main events of each episode and on the specific plotline the main event is Alex's meltdown. Lily being there or not along with the rest of the family doesn't really have an impact to the plotline. Again, I apologize for not explaining. Sometimes, when I am in a hurry I ignore the summary even though I know I shouldn't. TeamGale 18:26, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Smash the Mirror and Once Upon a Time

Stop changing something if it's not right! Or you just blind? See that ABC OFFICIAL PAGE and stop changing number of the episodes! Next time you do that I also report you to administrator, because I'm right!!!

Sedflash 06:55, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Sedflash I left you a warning on your talk page and you come here and call me blind. Do you also wanna be reported for personal attack? This subject was discussed in length at the article's talk page and it wouldn't mind if you take some time to read it. ABC clearly separated the episodes. I did see the link you are giving; it names BOTH episodes ("Smash the Mirror - Part 2" and "Fall") as No9 or you can't see that? The second part of "Smash the Mirror" was an additional NEW episode. "Fall" remaining as No9 is probably because it is saved that way before the addition till someone will notice and correct it. In the videos page is clear that Smash the Mirror is E09. More than one editors keep reverting your edits and like I said, you already violated the WP:3RR rule. One more time and you will get blocked. TeamGale 05:11, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Sedflash 05:17, 1 December 2014 (UTC) Do what you think is right, but new episode is with number 9 and you can see that on all Twitter photos from creator of the show Adam Horowitz. And all next title pages of the script also continued with right order. But in Wikipedia only what TeamGale telling is right. We'll soon see and I expect apology, because I'm right ;)

Sedflash 05:43, 1 December 2014 (UTC) According to the series writer & producer Adam Horowitz Episode 09 Episode 10 Episode 11 Episode 12 Episode 13 When writers say you must stop editing wrong info in Wikipedia ;)

The writers have no power on Wikipedia, and if you actually go to the talk page and are civil about it we may be willing to actually look at what you provided. However we have sources that currently state they are two Seperate episodes so please stop changing it because it will not be us who are blocked at the end of it. It will be you.--Ditto51 (My Talk Page) 07:47, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Episode pages

Do you usually create the episode articles for Modern Family? The last three or four episodes don't have articles. I would create them, but I wouldn't know where to start. — Confession0791 talk 09:26, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello Confession0791. I usually do when I have free time...and I am in the mood :) but I don't have the exclusivity on them. Some other editors created some of them. It's not necessary the episode articles to be created right away but if you feel like you want to start making them, go ahead and I (or someone else) will make changes where it's necessary or add things on them. You can copy the structure from a previous episode and make the changes for the new one. Just be sure to reference the reviews you will add on the article and the plot to not be too much detailed.
To get a link to start editing, just type on the search box the title of the episode and click enter. That will lead you to a red link which you can click and start creating. In the case of the next episode that is missing (Strangers in the Night (Modern Family)), a page already exists but it's a redirect to Season 6. In this case, you just go to the page and click edit. Remove the redirect and start editing to create a full article. TeamGale 10:18, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
I created redirects for all the all the episodes that don't have pages, plus two upcoming episodes (see here). So that's done. — Confession0791 talk 02:31, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
When you create episode pages, how do you go about it? Where do you find your sources? — Confession0791 talk 00:45, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
Hello Confession0791. The only parts that need sources are the ratings and the reviews sections. The rest don't need something. Since the episode has aired, the episode itself can be used as a "source" for the plot and the basic things on the infobox for pages like these. The plot has to be written by someone who has seen the episode on their own words, without copying a summary from other sites because that violates the copyright rule of Wikipedia. For fiction (such as an episode or movie summary) you can write the plot by yourself as long as you just describe what happened to the episode without analyzing or giving personal opinion or conclusions about something. That's a primary research and it's not accepted in Wikipedia. Also, in the plot try to stay on the basic things for someone to understand what happens in an episode but don't give every detail of the episode. That will make the plot extremely long and it's not easy for someone to follow. The plot can be a little longer if the episode has many plotlines to include or is a little complicated. For example, the episode Las Vegas was one of the "complicated" episodes. But ratings and reviews have to be sourced. Those you can usually find on Google or directly at the sites that post reviews. Thank you for using VisualEditor and sharing your ideas with the developers.

Hello, TeamGale,

The Editing team is asking very experienced editors like you for your help with VisualEditor. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.

You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.

More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.

Contractions

What's wrong with one "it's" or n't word? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.1.100.168 (talk) 22:54, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

It's not that there is something wrong with them but it's not a formal writing to be used in an Encyclopedia. It's preferable in articles to not be used. See also Wikipedia:Contractions. TeamGale (talk) 23:13, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Just wanted to thank you for your continued persistence on new Modern Family episode articles. I'm really grateful to be able to read aggregated episode reviews without needing to paraphrase them myself. Keep up the good work! czar  02:36, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello TeamGale,

I don't know how closely you've followed the research project about VisualEditor, but since they will be moving into the data analysis phase before long, I wanted to personally ask a few "regulars" at WP:VEF to let me know if they’d seen anything unusual during the last week or two. (You're in the top 10 all-time editors at WP:VEF.) Anyway, if you've seen anything or have any thoughts on it, then please let me know. There's a thread open at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback#Test feedback if you want, or you can always leave a note at my talk page or send me e-mail. Thanks, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 06:22, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello Whatamidoing (WMF), sorry for not answering sooner. To be honest I don't follow that much the project, especially since it was moved away from Bugzilla. The new system does not help me personally to follow it. I use the VE when I can and, based on the edits I do on Wikipedia, I don't have any issues with it. The only issue is that I can't edit the tables that are based on templates (for example the Episode tables such as Modern Family (season 6)). I reported that a LONG time ago (over 3 months ago...maybe more) but they listed it as low priority and still nothing happened. I don't agree with the low priority status since those tables cover a lot of space in Wikipedia but OK...wish it will be fixed. TeamGale (talk) 04:27, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The haves and the have nots

Hey could you please fix the table of the characters in the article of "the haves and the have nots" the characters and the timelining is out of order. It's in the "cast and character" section. Thanks if you can! 😀😘 Zhyboo (talk) 02:00, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Zhyboo  Done
I don't watch the series at all though so, I don't know if the info on the table are correct. I assume they are. I only fixed the format :) TeamGale (talk) 08:12, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Thank you so, so much! :-) you corrected it for me! Theres another thing i would love you to do for me. Could you add jessica lucas and shailene woodley's races and ethnicities in their articles and add their source from ethniccelebs.com, if you know how?? I really need help with that. Its good to depend on someone when u can't doing something! Thanks! :-) Zhyboo (talk) 20:43, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

You are welcome Zhyboo. Adding a reference is very easy and a basic action on Wikipedia. You can try it out so you can start from something. If you don't know how to add it, the tools given in both, Visual Editor and HTML Editor, are really helpful. If you think an info is important and you have a reliable source about it, go ahead and add it. TeamGale (talk) 05:55, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Characters of glee article

Teamgale, I really need your help again!! You see, its hard for me to edit the table of cast members, because I do it on a phone because my laptop needs fixing!!! 😭😥😭 Could you add Jane hayward, rodrick, mason and Madison macarthy, Spencer porter, myron, Alistair and Walter to the recurring cast member table, please!!??? The actors and characters names are shown in the above the table of characters if you don't know them! Thanks if u can!! Love u!! 😀😘💕❤👍 Zhyboo (talk) 20:22, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Hello Zhyboo. I am sorry but I can't make the changes you are asking. First because I have no idea for which table you are talking about and second, I don't know the show that well or the characters to know if the information you are asking me to change are valid/reliable. If you need specific changes on articles that you can't do on your own, you can leave a message on the talk page of the specific article requesting the changes and not on the talk page of a user. That way, people who are "involved" with the subject and know more about it can see your message and edit the changes in it if they are needed. I can't make blind changes like this one just because someone is asking me to do it without knowing if the changes are needed. Just fixing a table to look right without any additions on it (like I did above) is a whole different story. Thank you for your understanding. TeamGale (talk) 10:49, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

They are all recurring characters of sixth season of glee. They were listed in the list of supporting characters,in the article Zhyboo (talk) 18:11, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

Zhyboo I am sorry, I can't make the specific change as I explained. Request the change you want on the article's talk page. Thank you. TeamGale (talk) 18:20, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

I left a message on the article, three months ago, then after a while I left a frustrated message because they don't ever really respond back and never responded or changed it. Thank you, anyway. 😕 Zhyboo (talk) 01:00, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

And yes the changes are reliable and valid. Nobody really paid attention to the characters from the sixth season, because they weren't main and didn't have much screen time, like past recurring characters did, so you could pay more attention, but they had enough screen time. Zhyboo (talk) 01:03, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

The table is in the article "characters of glee". But if you can't do it, I understand Zhyboo (talk) 01:04, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

I am sorry that nobody answered Zhyboo but I really can't make the specific change. I took a look though on the table and as I can see there is a note Recurring characters only listed if they appear in more than one season. So, it's not because they were not paying attention to the characters. If the characters you are mentioning appeared only in the last season, then they won't be added to the table. And if you or me or anyone else add them, someone will revert the edit. As I see, the table is already too long...so the editors who worked on it "had to leave some characters out of it". TeamGale (talk) 05:17, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Oh, ok, thanks! ☺ Zhyboo (talk) 05:34, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

The haves and haves not table

Excuse me teamgale but could you please add Mitch as recurring in season 3 on the character table? Somebody forgot to add him as recurring in the third season and he did appear in the third season multiple times. Thanks if you can! I hope I'm not such a burden 😕 Zhyboo (talk) 19:39, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Hello Zhyboo. I'll tell you what I told you before...I can't add information on any article that I don't know by myself that is true or accurate. I am not saying that you are lying but, from the moment I don't watch the show and I have no idea which actors are playing in it or not, I can't make the change. For these changes you are doing them yourself or if you can't or don't know how to do it, you are leaving a message on the articles's talk page! I can help with format changes/corrections but I won't add any information to an article that I have no knowledge about. TeamGale (talk) 21:24, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Just a hint, on the tables are added actors who were at least main characters in one season. If someone was only a recurring character, they won't be added.TeamGale (talk) 21:27, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

But you're missing the point! I watch the show so i know about it! He was a recurring guest star in the third season then was promoted to the main cast in the fourth season. What's wrong with adding to the table, other users do it, why can't you do this? All you have to do as add him as recurring in season 3. Zhyboo (talk) 21:40, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

The one who's missing the point here or can't understand what I am saying is you Zhyboo. I don't watch the show, I don't know it, I can't make any changes regarding information about the article. You watch the show, you know it, you make the change! It's that simple! I never heard of this show before! Please don't bother me again about it unless you need help with formatting or technical things. If I can help with those, I will gladly do it. If other people who watch the show are not making the change, then there must be a reason. Contact them, not me. Thank you. TeamGale (talk) 21:50, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Ok, I'm sorry. Whenever my computer is repaired I'll Make The change or I'll leave a message Zhyboo (talk) 21:53, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

I just added Mitch as recurring in season 3, but the table, went out of order again. Since you told me to only come to you from format fixing, could you fix the format in the table again this last time? Zhyboo (talk) 22:55, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Could you fix the format on the table, please?. I added Mitch as recurring and it went out of order again Zhyboo (talk) 23:41, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Could you fix the format on the table, please?. I added Mitch as recurring and it went out of order again Zhyboo (talk) 23:46, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Are you ok?

Teamgale, is everything ok?. After you lashed out at me, you haven't spoken to me since. What's going on? I've never made enemies out of other wiki users before, wiki users communicate and get along, like on social sites. I'm a very friendly person, that's why I'm worried. 😕 Zhyboo (talk) 22:08, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

This isn't very good, teamgale Zhyboo (talk) 06:02, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

Good morning. Everything is perfect. You are seeing enemies where they don't exist Zhyboo. After my last message it was almost 1am and I went to sleep. Just like your first message in this section, it was 1:08am and I was sleeping. Simply as that. Not everyone lives in your timezone. Plus, I am not on Wikipedia 24/7. I don't think I am obligated to be or to answer to a message a second after someone leaves it. If I am on Wikipedia and I see it the moment you will leave it, I will answer. If not, I'll answer when I see it. Sometimes I don't sign in for days. Also, waking up the other day and finding the same request posted three times on my talk page, is not helping much my will to answer anything. You don't have to leave me the same message a thousand times. When I will get online, I will see it the first time. No need for repeats.
The table looked just fine when I checked it in the morning. As for your other request, I have no idea what you are talking about. You do realize there are millions of articles in Wikipedia, right? I am not in your mind or a psychic to know which one you mean...
Just a friendly advice, your persistence and the way you are asking things can really drive people away and not being willing to help you despite their good intentions. I am probably one of the most willing people to help in Wikipedia and you already made me rolling my eyes everytime I get a notification that I have a message from you.
Like I said in previous messages, it's better to ask changes from people who have worked in the past on articles you want to edit. Those are the ones who know about the subject and can help you the most. Asking politely and clearly for what you want, providing links to the articles you want to edit will help you communicate better with them. If people don't understand what you are asking for, they will simply not answer. Just like I won't answer from now on when I simply can't understand what you want.
Have a nice day.TeamGale (talk) 07:35, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

I didn't know people wouldn't respond if they didn't understand, but thankdls, you have a nice one, too! 😃 Zhyboo (talk) 21:14, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
