The reason why I said that was because of this. It actually has the "misc" thing there, so I guess that technically we are supposed to have it there, since it's the page that shows you how to format that kind of thing. However, like you said, it works fine without it so there is no need for it, that's why I used that example for the table. --- Realest4Life 14:42, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

This is a new article that i created, so wud help me create it? - Real Compton G 14:48, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry about that one too much, I'm on it. I'm gonna merge it with "P.I.M.P." though, but it'll still have an infobox, categories and everything. --- Realest4Life 17:06, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey, i think the article looks better on its own page, it was 2 cluttered on the original song page, thanks fo moving it back - keep it real - Real Compton G 18:25, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

40 Glocc

I think 40 Glocc is singed to Infamous Records and G-Unit Records because in his music video the label credited is infamous records and g unit records. I might me right but its just a thought.--Shadyaftrmathgunit 11:17, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Signature

Hey, I hate to bring this up, but I noticed that you were using a template for your signature - which isn't allowed per WP:Sig#Transclusion_of_templates. Sorry, --danielfolsom 22:00, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I would assume you could leave those - but stop using it now. In case you don't know - just copy the code from that, go to my preferences, and put the code in the "raw signature" box.--danielfolsom 22:13, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Please remedy this issue immediately. Daniel 02:59, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Furthermore, please reduce the length of your signature to less than 255 characters, as per the technical restrictions. The developers in all their well-respected wisdom placed that limit there for a variety of reasons, and it's extremely improper to be avoiding the truncation limit by using a template in the signature code section of your preferences. Re: G-Unit Records

Hi. Nothing was majorly wrong that I saw; just a line break in the middle of a ref and some minor tidying. Looks good, though, except that MySpace pages are not reliable sources. Even if they were, the artists' own MySpace pages would then be primary sources. --Geniac 19:02, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Well done with your edits on Violator and is the in da club sample uploaded ok.--Shadyaftrmathgunit 17:28, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: RIAA

Yeah if you go to the RIAA search tab and type in "The College Dropout" in the title, it lists the following results:

  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Multi-platinum

Here, I'm assuming multi-platinum means 2x Platinum. If an album is more than 2x Platinum, there should be more than one instance of "Multi-platinum", but there's not. This is also confirmed in this Rock on the Net source (at the bottom of the page). Spellcast 11:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

It should be, but that's not always the case. For example, The Massacre was certified 5x Platinum. But if you type in "The Massacre", it lists it as Gold, Platinum, Multi-platinum, Multi-platinum. This indicates the album was 3x platinum, but it wasn't. So sometimes, it's not really clear. It seems the RIAA changed their website layout. In their old layout (see here), they specified how many times platinum an album went. Now they just say "Multi-platinum". Spellcast 11:54, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually, RIAA certification and U.S. sales are different things. Unfortunately, too many people think that just because an album sells a certain amount of copies, it automatically gets certified. For example, Norah Jones' Not Too Late album is certified 2x Platinum, yet it only sold 1.3 million in the U.S. (according to SoundScan). This simply means there's a few hundred thousand copies sitting on the shelves. Spellcast 12:06, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
RIAA certification is not about how many people buy the album. It's how many units are shipped to retailers. So if an album is certified Gold, it means 500,000 copies have been shipped to retailers. It does not mean 500,000 copies were sold to the customers. Spellcast 12:14, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Yep. Spellcast 12:17, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
