Blake Eveleigh[edit]

Blake Eveleigh, born 28th February 1998 in Maitland, NSW, Australia started racing at age 11 in Go Karts. Eveleigh won 3 championships and 36 races in his 2 year karting career. At age 13 he started building a dirt speedway car for the junior category. He started building this car out of a Toyota Corolla Seca which was completed in 2012, his first ever race on the dirt was at Tamworth's Oakburn Park Raceway where he placed 1st at the end of the night. This marked the start of Eveleigh's dirt racing career, he later went on and placed 2nd in the 2012 NSW/ACT Title at Tamworth which was his 3rd race and placed 3rd in the 2013 NSW/ACT title.

In 2014 Eveleigh moved on and sold his junior sedan and was offered a drive of a 800hp Dirt Late Model where he featured in the the 2014 Mildura Easter long weekend race. In 2015 he started to build a new car for the street stocks division. He started this build with a wrecked VZ Commodore using a standard VN 3.8L engine, this build was completed near a year later. His first race in the new VZ Commodore was at Tamworth for the Charlie McGarva memorial race, after engine and fuel issues Eveleigh qualified 13th for the 50 lap feature race. He wheeled his way to 1st and stayed there for the remainder of the race. The next major race for him was the Australian title held at Tamworth after receiving 2x 1st place finishes and a 3rd in the heat races placed him in 2nd for the feature race. Eveleigh got the lead in the first corner and stayed there for the remainder of the race taking out the Australian title.

Eveleigh is now competing in the 2016/2017 season in his VZ Commodore competing in all of the NSSC (Newcastle Street Stockers Championship) rounds, NSW and Australian titles and various other races around NSW.
