<Archive span> Re: 2000[edit]

I won't even think about accepting a nomination until after 2500 though. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  15:09, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I might know what you're thinking, although if I'm not, never mind. ;) Although a few more (main) edits would probably be well-recieved. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  02:23, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for adminship[edit]

On this occasion, your request for adminiship was not successful. I hope that you will continue your useful contributions and consider standing again in future. Remember that a majority of those commenting did support your request, and many of those opposing simply want to see more of your contributions! RfA[edit]

You'll get there, you just need to do some article editing. Good luck to you in the elections (you are in, right?)

And yes, I do. :D Highway Daytrippers 19:02, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Man sorry the RFA didn't make it. Hopefully you will make it on teh second time up. Good luck Æon Insanity Now!EA! 20:25, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure you'll become an admin once you get around 1000 article edits. You're a great editor, all the same. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 20:54, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't take part in every RfA, so I'm sorry to see yours fail due to something so petty. I watch the RfAs, even though I don't always comment, so I'll participate again if you decide to make another try at it in the future. Sxeptomaniac 22:12, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem Halo, if you come up again in a few months with more experience under your belt I will surely support. Themindset 23:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA[edit]

Hey, for someone who had <1000 mainspace edits, you did remarkably well. Don't take the result of your RfA as a downer. You can contribute to more articles on Wikipedia, and if you re-apply for adminship in a few months, almost everyone will be on your side, including me. --Nishkid64 00:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all! Bit of a bummer, that, but you will make a good admin when it eventually happens. All the best, and I hope we don't have to wait too long to see your name here! — riana_dzasta wreak havoc|damage report 00:42, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Try again another time eh? :) --Andeh 01:00, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just do alot of maintenance/cleanup of articles, particulary on Special:Newpages (help newbies out!), and learn to use the tags.--Andeh 20:15, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, writing great articles doesn't automatically make a user a qualified admin (as some believe) *rolls eyes*.--Andeh 20:22, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

congrats and condolences[edit]

Dude... Sorry you didn't make it, but as the voices are telling you, it's likely you will next time. You ran a class act and you've my support next time as well, count on it. Anything I can do meanwhile, ask... ++Lar: t/c 01:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the RfA, I really thought that you were going to make it... I hope that this does not discourage you, and that you may try again in the near future. I'm sure that you will find even more supporters then. Best regards.--Húsönd 02:40, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, Halo, you will never let me down; you will just continue to impress me. Keep being the awesome person that you are, and next time I'm sure everyone will realise what a great job you will do. I have confidence, and so should you! -- Natalya 04:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

from Storkk too[edit]

(edit conflict) I was of neutral opinion in your recent RfA, and appreciated your thanks. As I said in my comment, I am of a very similar opinion to User:Blnguyen when it comes to the necessity of encyclopedic edits -- for very much the same reasons. However, I will not vote oppose unless there are tangible negative factors as well. With more mainspace edits, you can certainly count on my support next time around. You took your RfA and its outcome with class and grace... good for you & I hope we meet again! :-) --Storkk 01:28, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't agree more. Nice to see someone big enough to not chuck it in after a failed RFA. "Class" is exactly the right word. I took the same position as Stork and Blnguyen: rack up the article edits and I'll be delighted to support next time round. Cheers, Moreschi 13:53, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am very sorry to know that your RfA has failed. I am sure you deserve more than that and that being a very good editor like yourselves is more important to us than being a good admin. -- Szvest 14:12, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, rather unlucky.[edit]

I'm sure you'll get it next time, just hang in there! Will (Glaciers melting in the dead of night) 08:43, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you are feeling OK after experiencing the recent failure of your RfA. Although I added neutral support in your nomination page, this was acted upon in good faith. I completely understand how you feel as I have gone through the same heart-wrenching feeling three times here! Anyway, do not lose heart and continue editing brilliantly on this project. I am sure you (as well as myself) will become an admin in the future! Just do not lose hope and fight on! --Siva1979Talk to me 16:08, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about your RfA[edit]

Yeah, I started a new section. Sosumi. :)

Just a note to say that I'm really sorry your RfA was unsuccessful. I honestly do believe that you have a lot of potential, as clichéd as it may sound, and that you'd do damn well as an administrator. It's very unfortunate that you had to deal with this crap, but I suppose there's nothing much that can be done about that.

Don't let this discourage you, though. You're well on the road to being an admin, and now you have 32 oppose votes' (well... 31) worth of feedback for you to work on for next time. Good luck, and happy editing! Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 23:33, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, have you considered admin coaching? There's quite a long waiting list, but it might be helpful. I've been in line there for weeks, but I'm looking forward to it... Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 23:48, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to leave you comments on your RfA! You're a much better contributor than I am, and I will surely support your next nomination :-) - Mike 00:57, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

Sorry man that I voted oppose. I feel really bad even though I would have done the same to myself if I was up. I never intended to hurt your feelings. I hope you don't feel badly towards me.... Sorry once again. Spawn Man 12:11, 24 September 2006 (UTC) :(. P.S. I just noticed that Sergent Snopake is gone & that NathanR.Com has been blocked indefinitely. Your name seems to be connected & I shamelessly thought I could pry some info from you to see what the heck happened?! If you can't, I'll understand... Have a nice day Halo.[reply]

P.P.S. I really like the way you personally replied to each of the people who voted in your RfA with a unique comment. It must have taken some time & shows how nice a person you are. - Spawn Man 12:13, 24 September 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Hi The Halo (that sounds awkward), thank you very much for your welcoming words. I really appreciate them. I also want to express my condolences that your RfA failed. I do think that you would be a trustworthy administrator, but I also feel that admins should have considerable experience in writing (and not just reverting) articles, so that they can see how articles are collaborated on, edit wars take place, etc. I think I might have said this all before.

Totally off topic, but do you have any idea how Phaedriel is? She has been gone for quite some time, and I'm getting a bit concerned. I really hope that she isn't feeling the way I did and still sometimes do. --Kyoko 20:46, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks from StuffOfInterest[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which finished with a tally of 52/6/1 (~90%). It was an interesting process which gave me a chance to learn a bit about myself and about the community. My intention now is to slowly ease into using those additional buttons on my page. No use being over eager and mucking up the works. The support of all those who went over my record and/or rallied to my defense after the big oppose vote was instumental to the success of this review. Hi there, I'm now out of the hospital, and I wanted to thank you for your well wishes. Yes, I don't like being in hospitals either, but I'm sorta getting used to it now. Some quick thanks, the summary really said it all.--Kyoko 12:29, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wanted to add that I wasn't in the hospital most recently due to an emergency but rather as a followup evaluation for other things. I'm sorry if this led to any confusion. Thanks again, and could you please tell me if you can 1)see my signature in the new font, and 2)if my new signature is too big or distracting? Thanks.--Kyoko 05:29, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe my new sig is only visible to people who have Macs? I wanted to use a font that looked like handwriting, and the Zapfino font happened to resemble my actual handwriting more than other fonts I could have used, such as Brush Script and Lucida Handwriting. I'm not going to worry about changing my sig to make the font visible to everybody, unless if I get complaints.--Kyoko 13:32, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flinders is really great too - obviously I don't know much about the arty side of the uni, but I've seen a few of their productions, and they're really good.
Good luck with saving up - although I've heard Australia is cheaper than England, so once you get here, you should be OK :) riana_dzasta 14:37, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But the anticipation is the best part! :) Good luck, and if you ever get here, I'll help you figure out Adelaide's confusing bus system :P riana_dzasta 14:44, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ed Articles[edit]

Since when was any ED article about a Wikipedia editor not attack-related? Fredil Yupigo 20:01, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Like honestly, even the ones about good users (like Phaedriel) are, well, let's not go there. Fredil Yupigo 23:19, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Advisory Council Skyping[edit]

Do you know how the Skype stuff is set up for the advisory council, I just got promoted and I'm lost. I do have Cel though...I looked for Natalya and found about 20 people. Thanks for the help! Highway Grammar Enforcer! 22:16, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
