Hi there; the text which you have tagged as a repost is in fact wholly different from the attack-page which was previously deleted, but appears to be a copyvio. I am sorting it out. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 20:26, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Ah, alright. As it appeared on my Watchlist, I assumed it was the same attack page.. the first few words also seem to hint that it's essentially the same nonsense, but we'll see how it goes. ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:29, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi.

At least this to lines are true:

- * The scene in which Timmy and Jimmy scare the City Wok owner resembles the opening scene from Menace II Society. - * The scene in

Why do you insist on removing them?

I mean, of course "That name no longer has any meaning for me" is a Darth Vader phrase. And the two gangsters in the shop with the korean guy yelling "I don't want no trouble" is directly taken from menace II society.

The fact that you are not familiar with this info doesn't make if false right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Slayerized2 (talkcontribs) 15:10, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I am actually very familiar with the former, being a huge Star Wars fan. However, to say that they are references without any sources to back it up is Original Research, and hardly encyclopedic. Also, I believe Reeve's line is slightly changed from that of Vader's. Saying something "resembles" something is also OR. ≈ The Haunted Angel 17:04, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey Haunted, how's it going? I noticed you changed Coheed to hard rock. The profiles Coheed own such as purevolume and myspace both say progressive/alternative, so should it not stay as progressive? See this and this. I think if they say they are progressive, we should call them progressive :p hope you agree. → jacĸrм ( talk | sign ) 22:04, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Oops, it appears that I reverted someone's edit, back to hard rock rather than from it, my mistake! I do apologize for the confusion, I thought I was reverting the edit back to progressive rock instead of hard rock, but I guess I wasn't really concentrating! Lol, apologies again, mate. ≈ The Haunted Angel 22:52, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Ah, it's alright, I wondered why that had happened. But I've added a reference now so it's all good. Hope you're good! → jacĸrм ( talk | sign ) 22:55, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

CSD G1

Please be more careful when tagging article for speedy deletion that you do not overuse CSD criteria G1. You recently tagged Shelby McCowen as patent nonsense, despite the fact that the article is perfectly coherent. This article did happen to be speediable as an article that did not assert the significance of the subject, but was not nonsense. You can find the whole list of CSD templates at Category:Speedy deletion templates. Natalie 14:53, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

As I was using Twinkle to delete the article, I had a variety of the templates in front of me. However, there was no template to fit the situation (just as "blatant lie", or the like), and so I settled on the closest one I could. ≈ The Haunted Angel 15:00, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
"Blatant lie" really isn't a CSD criteria, because what may be blatant to you isn't necessarily obvious to anyone else. In this case you could have used A7 (a biographical article that does not assert the significance of the subject), or possibly A1 (no context). If the article was a hoax and neither A7 nor A1 applied, AfD is a better idea, because some hoaxes are notable as hoaxes, and some things that seems incredibly implausible are actually true. Natalie 15:04, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
No context I usually saw as a lack of actual information, but I suppose that'd be no content. As this was just some joke it appeared someone had made up, I htink AfD would be a bit much, but thanks, I will keep what you've said in mind. ≈ The Haunted Angel 15:35, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

COF genre

okay bud listen her i know more metal than you ever will and i am going to change what i feel like changing as long as there is proof and if you go to metal-archives.com and search for Cradle Of Filth you will understand

Your arrogance will only get you banned, I'm afraid. Changing their genre so ignorantly without prior discussion, as Metallum is not the governing factor on metal in the world, will count as vandalism. What makes you so sure of yourself, I don't know. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

godamit

well that still makes no fucking sense i understand i aint the governing power in music but what im saying is since nobody can fucking decide than why not just put to where is has extreme metal/black metal and put this at the end (disputed) that would solve a lot of fucking problems dont think im some arrogant/ignorant little 15 year old cunt cuz i know my shit man —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cradle thy filth (talkcontribs) 14:24, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, if you look on the Cradle page, that is how the layout is now. Extreme metal is the closest genre we can get to without going into POV, and we now have something along the lines of "Extreme metal (See below). Album pages are something that will be handled later, as they require slightly more thought from past discussions, especially considering their albums that are black metal (although even that's disputed) and full on death metal. okay but listen here the only death metal song they had (by lyrical status was "from the cradle to enslave" but even then i would never lable them as death metal and the only band i would lable as extreme metal is GWAR they are the whole shock-rock/extreme metal genre —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cradle thy filth (talkcontribs) 14:18, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

okay muther fucker weve got a mutherfucking problem here im not sure if it is just my shit but wenever i try going to list of black metal bands it always freezes up after it loads try this and see if it works for you

Placebo Day deletion

I really disagree with the speedily deltion of my entry, it is certainly not nonsense, it is well recognised by fans of placebo and could become quite a in depth entry with time.

Thank you! I appreciate the fact that there are still some people on Wiki with some sociable ways of talking ^_^ ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:57, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

wtf

okay first off aint whiny if i were you would know this is me and normal everyday talk if youu have a problem with it too bad for. second off i do not see how anybody cannot tell the difference between death and black metal. death metal is all about death, destruction and all that other fun stuff i still live for, black metal is a tad bit more evil and darker. im not sure about the early cradle of filth demos being death/black metal there sound then was more speed goth (really quick gothic rock for all the retards out there) and that is that

--Hail Satan 14:45, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Firstly, it's not me who has the problem with you, it's Wikipedia's rules. If you act in an unsociable manner, expect a ban. Secondly, no, those are not the definitions of death and black metal. It's how it sounds. I can tell the difference between the two rather easilly. Even a Dizee Rascal fan can tell that Nile and Gorgoroth are totally different. As for "Speed goth"? Heh, nah, Cradle's early demo's are by far their most extreme. Death metal, and for an extent, even starting to go onto the brutal/slam death metal style. Lyrical content means nothing (until you start getting into "Unblack metal", and the like). ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:55, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Doing so would be little different to deleting it, and the Sexual Harassment Panda link would probably get re-directed anyway, so I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with you on that one. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:25, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

The Hound leaked?

I've found this but is Wikipedia really the place to say a song's been leaked? I don't think it should be :p — jacĸrм (talk) 21:25, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

When I removed the info the first time, I felt like mentioning that it shouldn't be on Wikipedia anyway, but I didn't incase I was wrong - now that you mention it, I think it's best that we don't include it on Wiki... I'm sure I saw info like that removed elsewhere as well =D ≈ The Haunted Angel 23:10, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

wtf ever

i could give a shit less if it was my last warning i attacked no one i told you to fuck off but that is besides the point why dont we just settle this like men you give me a link (besides youtube or dailymotion) that shows videos of their "death" metal days you just dont understand do you BLACK metal not extreme. extreme metal is also shock-rock which is GWARs field so send me a link and that will be that --Hail Satan 15:14, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

The Hound vandal

Check out this piece of vandalism on my talk page. This guy wanted the hound, and this is the vandalism he eventually left there. I kinda like the flashing text though. Kinda funny he tries to put me down and he spent ages doing that xD — jacĸrм (talk) 16:34, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Power Metal

The problem that is happening here is that Finntroll, Moonsorrow, Cirith Ungol, After Forever, Epica, and Within Temptation have nothing to do with Power Metal. Nor does the band Theatre of Tragedy.

In fact the whole thing of adding Symphoinc metal does not work becasue it's in off shot of Black Metal, Death Metal, Power Metal, and Prog Metal. What are we doing to start adding in Dimmu Borgir. Dimmu Borgir is part of Symphonic metal gerne yet it's Symphonic Black metal. I mean heck at this rate we should add in Gothic Metal becasue Within Temptation and Theatra of Tradgedy have nothing to do with Power Metal. But hey who cares.

If I sound a little mean I'm sorry. But when I see people adding bands that don't play Power Metal under the Power Metal article that really ruins what the article is about. Epica and After Forever are two of my fav bands and not once have either band played Power Metal. I also really enjoy Within Temptation and they also have never played Power Metal. Turemetalfan Oct 8th, 2007. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.245.83.180 (talk) 01:04, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

No no, I think you have the wrong person mate - I'm in favour of removing symphonic metal from the page (the only symphonic power metal band I could truly think of was Nightwish, but that doesn't make symphonic metal power metal, instead we should just say on the Nightwish page that they are both), instead I was in favour of adding folk metal to the power metal list - as the folk metal I've heard has a definate power metal influence. ≈ The Haunted Angel 01:10, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

The Problem there is that some of the Folk Metal bands are have also or are playing Black Metal. The Folk Metal part comes in with what they write. Any exmpale Leaves Eyes they are Symphonic Metal/Gothic Metal/Folk Metal. The Folk metal comes in with what Liv sings about which is much of ie things such as lost of and her homeland.

If you want to add the Folk Metal ok but let's make sure that the bands we are adding are playing Power Metal and not a band that is really playing Black metal or Detah metal or even Doom metal.I just don't want people to start thinking that some Black Metal band that also plays parts of Folk Metal is part of Power metal. I mean if they are Black Metal there Black Metal. There is no way around that one. Turemetalfan Oct 8th, 2007. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Turemetalfan (talkcontribs) 01:20, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

One more thing Bathory does not even play Folk Metal. as for the account I do have one I sometimes don't always log in depending on what brower I'm using. Turemetalfan Oct 8th, 2007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.245.83.180 (talk) 01:25, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Again, I didn't add Bathory - although what they play is "viking metal", which is what one gets when they mix folk and black; and so I suppose that that could be considered a similarity to power metal. Again, it's debatable, though. ≈ The Haunted Angel 01:35, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

why

why must you oppose me here behind this veil that keeps you safe email me what you are really wanting to say any ways go to urbandictionary.com and as always type in cradle of filth again BLACK METAL label by most no death by any but considered in between by some i will fight this until i die which will be in about say a weeks time(suicide) or if i can finish the suicide note get the cerimonial items then soonerbut besides that... no that is pretty much it

--Hail Satan 16:32, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

OK, I'll make this simple. Get your hands on one of these demos. That is clearly death metal. However, their death metal period ends there. Should you wish to hear what true black metal is, buy an album by Gorgoroth, Mayhem, Darkthrone or Immortal. That is true black metal, and Cradle barely sounds like any of them, only a few songs come close, and that is from their first two albums at the best. And so, one can't simply call them "black metal", as they simply aren't. They were death metal early, early on, but alas, no more. I have no desire to throw profanity at you over Wikipedia, as any discussion that is worth while can be done without breaking Wikipedia's rules; if you must be aggressive in your arguments, then you're not worth talking to. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:28, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

re:why

if you must act like you know everything then why not tryy and fight it you have my email address it is in plain site and if you consider black metal to be darkthrone then dani and crew fit right in lets see here: high pitched vocals(yes), heavily distorted guitar(yes), ect... i think i have made my point they MAY have been death metal but that was before they were cradle of filth that was still when they were known by very little and no one cared now they fit in to EXTREME as you say but they arent what is so extreme about them

Hail Satan 18:36, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I haven't the time to waste emailing you - as I said, anything that needs discussing can be done here. There is far more to black metal then those two factors - Cradle is far to accessible to be true black metal. Seriously, buy this album, and compare it to say, this. They are a world apart. They were still Cradle of Filth back in their very early death metal days. Now however, all that is certain about their genre is that they fit into the extreme metal umbrella genre. Take a look at this page to get what I mean. I think Metallum's definition of Cradle is good enough - but it's not Wikipedia's place to declare their genre. Again, read the opening note on the talk page. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:42, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
