January 2009[edit]

Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. A new name 2008 (talk) 14:26, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki[edit]

Hello! You can add interwiki to your userpage so other folks will be able to easily see your other accounts. Like that: [[nl:Gebruiker:Solejheyen]]. Best regards, --CopperKettle 15:23, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for telling me. Greets, Solejheyen (talk) 17:13, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Realia (science), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.indopedia.org/Realia.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:23, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have only copied a part of the text into a new article, because Realia had too many issues, see the discussion page. Solejheyen (talk) 11:26, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I replied to your questions at this page. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 06:57, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dana Winner has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Mhiji 14:40, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SFL[edit]

Hi WG, please let me know if you're around WP. I'm trying to organise a strategy for improving SFL articles. Tony (talk) 03:43, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain more clearly what you mean with that (SFL)? The Wiki ghost (talk) 09:48, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discount Bank[edit]

Changing the subject[edit]

-- Mdd (talk) 11:36, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Mdd: please don't import trouble from other projects here. Night of the Big Wind talk 10:44, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mdd (let's talk English so it's comprehensible for everyone who reads along). I don't declare anywhere on Saschaporsche's talk page I support his accusations against you, do I? I only agree with him that it would not be useful to leave the text of the image as it was, that is, with your full name in it. Regards, The Wiki ghost (talk) 14:24, 10 February 2012 (UTC) P.S. I must admit I wrote on Saschaporsche's talk page without reading the whole discussion in detail, actually my question to Saschaporsche about the text was altogether superfluous. Welcome word by Night of the Big Wind[edit]

hihi, didn't recognize you straight away when you edited some of my articles. Welcome to the real world! Night of the Big Wind talk 10:44, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks NOTBW. I'm glad you appreciate my edits! The Wiki ghost (talk) 10:46, 16 March 2012 (UTC) P.S. Obviously you didn't notice it but I have already been on this wiki for over 3 years, as long as on the Dutch wiki. The Wiki ghost (talk) 10:51, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Reelin[edit]

Hi, Wiki Ghost! I'm very sorry to hear that "Reelin" has been deleted on Dutch Wiki. I'm more or less OK, only I'm busy elsewhere now. I'm amazed that they deleted it wholesale, not even leaving a stub. Was it in so bad a shape? I used to translate articles into Russian and nobody was objecting. If you tell me where I could request the creation of a "stub" article, I will do this. Cheers, --17:04, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi Copperkettle, first, nice to hear you're doing well again. If you're still interested in this matter and can understand Dutch (a little), you can read the whole session here: nl:Wikipedia:Te beoordelen pagina's/Toegevoegd 20151124#Toegevoegd 24/11: Deel 2. What actually happened is that some years ago, a user put a template on the article saying that there was some doubt about the reliability of the content. Nobody removed the template since then (in spite of the improvements I made), after which another user decided last month that the whole article should be deleted as unreliable. I further believe the administrator who actually removed (user:Natuur12) did not have a good look at the content either. Regards, The Wiki ghost (talk) 11:07, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What you could also do is ask on nl-wiki to have the article put back in your own user space, so that you can have a look at it yourself as well and perhaps judge about the quality. I for my part promise that if I can make time for it, I'll try to correct and improve it further where needed. The Wiki ghost (talk) 11:13, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Donor principle[edit]

Thanks for this. Any chance you could add some examples and exceptions?

On 30 December 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Jim Delligatti, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Jim Delligatti created the Big Mac (pictured)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jim Delligatti.
