Information icon Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Marcel Büchel, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. September 2018[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Gabriele Angella, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:04, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

i added external links with footballdatabase and transfermakt and i know, its in my country! Thibaut02 (talk) 00:11, 3 September 2018 (UTC) https://www.7sur7.be/7s7/fr/1509/null/article/detail/3470983/null.dhtml[reply]

Those aren't reliable sources. Mattythewhite (talk) 01:22, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Your Barcelona edit contradicted https://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/first-team/staff/players, which is a reliable source. Were you making those changes from footballdatabase and transfermarkt as well? Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:17, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
its from https://fr.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2019/clubs/club=50080/squad/ Thibaut02 (talk) 15:24, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Is that sources listed on the article? Probably https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2019/clubs/club=50080/squad/ would be better for this project. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:32, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Pernal Williams. GiantSnowman 15:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. --Leyo 12:40, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

January 2019[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Adam Reed (footballer, born 1991). This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:48, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox years[edit]

Hello. You may be unaware that the years in the infobox are for years contracted, not years of last match played: see the documentation. So Joe Mason (footballer, born 1991) should have 2018–2019 in the infobox, because his loan ran until January 2019 even though he didn't play for them in the new year. I've undone your edit there, but if there are any more where you've done the same thing, you might want to go back and fix them. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 15:18, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On some Wikipedias, they include month as well as year in the infobox, but on the English Wikipedia, we don't. When editing, we just go by what the sources say: if a player goes on loan until January 2019, then the end-year is 2019, but you're right, it doesn't tell the reader whether the loan ended mid-season or in June.
What we need is more editors willing to keep the written content up-to-date, so the reader can get more detailed information there. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 15:59, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK but when i read the infobox, i don't understand when the player leave the club.if he quit at the mid or at the end of the season.--Thibaut02 (talk) 15:42, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For example when i watch Dominic Solanke infobox, i don't understand if he leave Liverpool in summer or in winter.--Thibaut02 (talk) 16:01, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, the infobox doesn't tell you. At least at Solanke, the written words do tell the reader when he left Liverpool. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 16:17, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I see now why you self-reverted. For future reference, the cat for National League players is Category:National League (English football) players. Thanks, Nzd (talk) 08:53, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
