A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:TmaxData, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because our company has Korean website for the company introduction, which we just worked on translating the website into English for global. Thank you.

"Company introduction" = promotion. You may not use Wikipedia to publicize the existence of your company. This is not a business directory, and not every company is entitled to have an article just because it exists. Only notable companies as Wikipedia defines them are worthy of inclusion. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 06:42, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

TmaxData moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, TmaxData, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. October 2021[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:32, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia administrators,

I am here to write that I have changed the username, following the Wikipedia username guideline. I had no idea that the username could be seen as an advertisement of this corporation. Thus, after being notified, I have changed the username so please check and see if that suits the policy. Thank you.

Sincerely,

10:15, 21 October, 2021 (UTC)

Dear Wikipedia administrators,

This is persuasion and an appeal to have the account and the page that I created unblocked. The block is no longer necessary because I understand what I am blocked for, which I also understand the consequence and will not make the same issue. (For your information, I have requested renaming my username since the previous one seemed like an advertisement of my company, so please check and see if that meets Wikipedia’s username policy.) It was addressed on the Wiki Talk that it is my responsibility to change the content into non-promotional. At first, it was hard to understand how the contents were promotional because it was an explanation/introduction of the company – just like how Google or other corporations created a page for its company introduction on Wikipedia. However, I have checked the general notability guideline of Wikipedia, and I understood what needs to be changed. I believe there is a submission of a draft for review, which I look forward to submitting after changing the contents, following Wikipedia’s article guideline. The latest version of contents for a page titled “TmaxData” will be based on Korea Wikipedia page titled as “티맥스데이터” – the page and contents that had no issue for publication and did not violate any of Wikipedia’s article policy. Please notify me if there is anything that I am missing or misunderstanding regarding such issues, and I look forward to making productive contributions. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Decline reason:

Your choice of new username would be acceptable. Regarding the block itself, you seem to have some misunderstandings about Wikipedia. For example, Google did not create the article about it(Wikipedia has articles about topics, not "pages", a subtle but important distinction). Articles are typically created by independent editors that take note of a subject in independent reliable sources and choose on their own to write about it. Editors summarize those sources, showing how the subject meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability- in this case, the definition of a notable company. Not every company merits an article, even within the same field, it depends on the sources and their content. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company says about itself or what it considers to be its own history, only in what those completely unconnected with the company choose to say about it. Press releases, interviews, brief mentions, the company website, announcements of routine business activities like the raising of capital, and other primary sources do not establish notability. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing. You won't be unblocked to edit about, in the short term, your company. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a general contributor and editing about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, like Joe Biden or the history of your country or science, please tell what topics you might edit about. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:27, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've merged your requests into a single request, as only one request is needed. 331dot (talk) 08:21, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
