Hi Dormskirk, thank you for your messages and responses. It's been a while since I edited anything on Wikipedia (with a different account), so it's helpful to know the new rules. I am working with Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust (CBPT) to make their resources more available to the public online, and updating relevant Wikipedia pages to include information CBPT has on the entries is part of this. Therefore, I do have permission to use the text on the CBPT website for this, and I wasn't going to link to the CBPT website until I was asked to provide reference. Your guidance on the correct way to do this will be appreciated. Tonia7lu (talk) 13:32, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - If you are working for the Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust, in any capacity, you need to disclose your conflict of interest on the talk page as described above. Also you need to paraphrase and summarise material: you cannot just copy from their website because it is clearly marked as copyrighted. Also please bear in mind WP:UNDUE: this building has been in existence for over 500 years, so the events of 2013 should not have more than a couple of lines. I hope this helps.
