Blaenau Ffestiniog mine images

Hello Trident13,

I saw that you are one of the few who did some edits related to slate mining in Wales. As part of a big upload of images from the Dutch Heritage Agency there are also uploaded a few (40) images which are probably from the Oakley mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Taff Vale Railway not a pre-grouping railway?

Hi, why did you remove Category:Pre-grouping British railway companies from Taff Vale Railway? It's definitely a pre-grouping railway: it was named in the First Schedule to the Railways Act 1921 as a constituent company of the Western Group. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:52, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

I don't think that's correct. The description at the top of Category:Pre-grouping British railway companies shows that it's for those railways that were grouped in 1923 to form the 'Big Four' railway companies. Therefore, any railway not actually named in the First Schedule to the Act should not be a member of that category; and since Category:Early Welsh railway companies includes many lines that had amalgamated long before the Grouping, Category:Early Welsh railway companies should not be a sub-cat of Category:Pre-grouping British railway companies. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:05, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Insole Court

Hi Trident 13, I just happened to go into Wikipedia and noticed that a lot had been changed since the last time I looked, and there were several errors which I thought best to correct - having studied the history of Insole Court for five years, along with the Insole Court Heritage Research Group. The pic of Ty Fry Lodge isn't Insole Court Lodge on Fairwater Road, it is a former Insole owned property in the Vale of Glamorgan. Insole Court Lodge is a grey stone building. Sorry if I'm not aware of the correct way of doing these amendments but I've never been on here before and just wanted it to be right. I would argue that it seems odd to post the page and make a point of the fact that she worked on that strike day. Furthermore, you have included a number of "facts" that are simply incorrect. As I reinserted the page, if something is in there then its in there because it happens to appear in a reference - which you removed. However, I accept that on occasions, certain facts change and certain journalists don't always get things right. Also may I point out or rules on Conflict of Interest at WP:COI. As her partner, you are presently crossing these. I hence in my last edit reinserted the Telgraph reference that you removed BUT removed the ref to the 2010 strike. Yes, I noticed you have a preference for the infobox. I have restored some edits you undid when you reverted, though kept the information you want in the info box. I don't think that the box is adding anything of value to the article, as the information it mentions is already mentioned in the lead. Infoboxes are not mandatory - see Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(infoboxes)#Using_infoboxes_in_articles. Shall we have a discussion on the article talkpage as the best way forward? Murder of Anni Dewani

Hi, could you take a look at the Murder of Anni Dewani article as you were the creator of the article. A user has today made several huge edits and removals of information that seem to have changed the article into a pro-South Africa article in the stance of guilt or not of Annis murderers. Alot of info removed also concerning South Africas poverty problems that were properly sourced. If you find time please take a look, I am quite suspicious of the edits made. I am also thinking the user has some connection to the case as he has removed alot of the information pointing to guilt of the people involved in her murder.--BabbaQ (talk) 13:12, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi Trident13 and BabbaQ - Did you read (a) the comments I left at each alteration and (b) the more extensive reasons posted on the Murder of Anni Dewani talk page. I am at a loss to understand BabbaQ's accusation that I have removed inFormation pointing to "guilt of people involved". Please substantiate. Secondly, the two most recently removed passages were done under WP:BLP, as made clear in the talk page. I have very solid reasons for removing that material, at least in its present form. I have already left plenty of comment there, which you have not responded to. As regards NPOV, you could start by practicing what you preach. BabbaQ please explain what do you mean by "pro-South Africa" in this context. I have reinstated the advertisement template at the head of Tyntesfield#Visitor_experience, as you removed the template without addressing the concern raised.

My concerns are twofold:-

1) The advertizing nature of the section; just to pick on two examples:-

Access times ... should be checked before travelling.

(NOTE: on busy or popular days, tickets to the house will sell out quickly, often before midday).

In addition to the advertizing problem, these examples also breach MOS:BOLD and WP:EL

2) The travel-guide nature of the section

As stated in WP:NOTTRAVEL

Wikipedia is not the place to recreate content more suited to entries in hotel or culinary guides, travelogues, and the like. Notable locations may meet the inclusion criteria, but the resulting articles need not include every tourist attraction, restaurant, hotel or venue, etc

Thanks for asking me to take a look at this article - sorry for the delay I have been away on holiday. I think you have done a lot of good work on this. I have been through and made some changes - particularly links to disambiguation pages - please check I haven't changed the meaning. I have also corrected some typos and removed some of the "advertorial" from the visitor experience section. There are a few things which I think need your attention:

• The lead is too short to summarise the article
• There are a few points where I think further references are needed (shown with cn tags)
• I didn't know how to correct "All stone was accurately matched to the original, with much a Cotswold oolitic limestone from Veyzeys quarry near Tetbury." but the grammar needs looking at!
• Lots of the books need page numbers in the references
• Badgers - the proposed badger cull (which I thought was on hold) would cover West Somerset & not include the North Somerset area

If you'd like to take another look at some of them, then I think I could put it up to a B grade & suggest nomination for GA - if you'd like to work together to get it up to that standard I'd be happy to help but busy in the near future catching up at work after 10 days away.— Rod ^talk 16:38, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Bentley Blower No.1

Hi Trident13, on Bentley Blower No.1 there seem to be some things that are not quite right. I have changed the name of what must be a racing driver to make it correct (I believe) but it is always possible I am mistaken. Your Don Kaye I think must be Kaye Don (it looks as if he chose his own name). Also the article is over mysterious about the bodies the car had. The description of the first body makes no sense at all and it reads as if you were groping a little for a meaning! Then the next body gets no mention at all. I don't "isist on putting in anal detail which the average observer can't understand" - what I'm insisting upon is that the name Moreton Junction not be applied to the junction for the Didcot, Newbury & Southampton line. The DN&S joined the main line at Didcot East Junction, the same point that Didcot East Curve leaves the relief line; that's approximately at 51.6090°N 1.2358°W / 51.6090; -1.2358. Category: Cycle Manufactures of the UK. Sub catergories

Hello Trident,

Why have you set up sub categorizes on this category list? And then why put Bromptons as a sub catergory, since they are essentially a single design manufacturer? I can understand Raleigh more as they had several sub brands underneath them. I have not been involved with creating or editing pages much on Wikipedia so I don't want to change things without asking.

Cats are one way of organising information, making it easier to access - Lists are another. In this case the article on the creator of Brompton Bicycle was not associated except in the article, and neither was the championship.
