Hi. If an only author has blanked the page, please tag it G7 only author request rather (I can't give the Page Curation wording as I won't touch that thing - I reckon it's to blame for a lot of wrong tagging and was foisted on us) than 'no content' etc. It's fairer to the author to have them listed as the requester of the deletion, as this is taken into consideration when a title has been repeatedly re-created and protection is being considered. Banque Morval

Hello Sir,

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it talks about a wll known Banking institution of Geneva. This Bank has a lot of instutions related to its current structure (cf. the website of the group: www.morval.ch): Swiss, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Uruguay, Cayman islands. This bank is well known in the area of Geneva and is often quoted in the specialized medias such as: Agefi (specialized economic newspaper), Le Temps (Swiss newspaper), Tribune de Genève (Geneva main newspaper). As the articles were talking about very precise topics, they are not quoted in the article "Banque Morval" in Wikipedia. This Bank is actually getting more present in the medias and newspapers articles will support the current article in Wikipedia in the weeks that follow. Please do not delete this article that summarizes very shortly the History of this private bank without promoting the its services. The informations are only summarizing known facts.

Hello, Thanks for contacting me! Please do not delete https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valeriy_Pecheykin page I just created. I have added reference links. Sorry, hit "save" button too early! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pomerz (talkcontribs) 19:13, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

It's just a warning and a reminder to add them. Clearly he's notable. But you might be surprised at how many people try to introduce articles into wikipedia with no references. ubiquity (talk) 19:18, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

List of Gulag camps

You are wrong. Please read Talk page for this article and please answer my questions. I deleted unsourced original research and evident litter. The article is named "List of gulag camps". How acronym MIA = Ministry of internal affairs is related to directorates of Gulag camps? What is the source of Polish acronyms listed as camps? If Russians were using Polish in names of Gulag camps? What is the source of the information deleted? From where it was taken? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.252.225.13 (talk) 18:01, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

smarTours deletion

smarTours is an international tour operator who contributes to many news sites and publications and is very important within the travel industry, does this not warrant importance?

Speedy deletion declined: SmarTours

Hello Ubiquity. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of SmarTours, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Sources provided are a credible indication of importance. Take to AfD if you want to test notability. Thank you. GedUK  12:45, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

eComfort

I do not believe that this page should be proposed for deletion as the company is often competing with unrelated topics with similar names, such as Brookstone's ecomfort product line, a potential source of confusion for customers looking for information about HVAC retailers and provides additional value for internet users who may be attempting to vet the authenticity of an ecommerce portal. For the same purposes as comparing amazon with alibaba, this page allows Wikipedia users, web visitors, and potential customers of HVAC equipment to accurately understand where they are buying from, compared to competitors and nominally similar products from other manufacturers.

I personally had a hard time researching information about this company without hopping from site to site. Wikipedia provides the indexation of these various sources for ease of my viewing as well as others in the same purchasing position. I created this account to create a page for this purpose. This is my first post to the wiki, so if there are other corrections you recommend, please clarify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EComfort com (talkcontribs) 14:09, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Noted for Ubiquity- I have denied your request for deletion as the article vets claims with accurate sourcing and its ranking with national listings as well as press coverage from major publications indicating notability. The desire to avoid confusion that is mentioned above is valid as a quick google search indicates that a user could easily be confused by varying uses of 'eComfort' by different retailers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snewoneb (talkcontribs) 14:24, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

I don't understand why you've marked it for deletion. I haven't even finished writing it, adding references, etc. Slootio (talk) 19:15, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

I'm sorry I tagged your article for deletion, Slootio. I tagged it because it was empty. I had no way of knowing whether you had abandoned it, were working on it, or had just done a test edit. And I knew that if you were still working on it, it would take less than a second to remove the tag. But once you put an article out in the main space, it becomes subject to the scrutiny of everyone. I saw an empty article with no indication of intent to complete, so I tagged it.

If you are working on an article and do not want it to be subject to the usual scrutiny, there are several techniques you can use:

  • Use the Under construction or In use templates (though strictly speaking these should not be used for new articles with little content)
  • Use the sandbox.
  • Put the page in the Draft: namespace.
  • Keep the page in your own User: pages until it is ready.

Any one of the above techniques will protect an article while you are working on it; all but the first will ensure that no one even notices it until it is ready. ubiquity (talk) 20:14, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Seriously?

You're a pretty experienced reviewer, so I'm hoping this was just a lack of caffeine in your system or something, but how on earth did you let this pass? "At the age of 4, Means was separated from his mother but managed to survive by joining up with a pack of rapid raccoons. The raccoons taught him many skills which helped his survive into adulthood," "Means' feet were so big that he was able to gain an incredible 6 extra feet of elevation when standing on his tip-toes," "the cost of manufacturing his shoes was an estimated $16,000,000 per foot," "Means is working as a stand-up comedian in a jail"; all direct quotations from the text you reviewed. Maybe have another cup of coffee before continuing, eh? Yunshui  15:48, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

I don't know why it marked that I had reviewed it. I was trying to tag it for a speedy for obvious hoax, but the curation system told me someone else had already tagged it, so I didn't. Just the fact that they said the guy was a black panther born in 1492 was enough for me to want to tag it. ubiquity (talk) 15:53, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
Probably an edit conflict with Dai Pritchard (who actually applied the speedy tag) then. Good to know you haven't suddenly taken leave of your senses! Yunshui  19:52, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Radboud Excellence Initiative

Hello, I would like to ask your advice as to how I can make the page less promotional and more informative. I intend the page to be information as to what the Initiative is and who is in it etc not as an advert. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by GWL88 (talkcontribs) 14:03, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Hopefully the page will avoid being deleted then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GWL88 (talkcontribs) 14:31, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Critical Systems

Hi Dear @ubiquity i'm editing this page with new contents and removing all constants that seems promotional so please requesting you not to remove this page till my next update. This page is related to Gas technologies and Industrial gases please check other related articles Gas cabinet & Orbital welding Regards Show-reality (talk) 19:13, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Show-reality. I am not a moderator, so I am not the person who will delete your article, if anyone does. You answered the tag for speedy deletion on the article's talk page, which was the right thing to do. A moderator will make the decision. To me, the article seems promotional because it does not meet the general notability guidelines. It's not enough to use a company website and directories and commercial listings to show that the company exists, because Wikipedia is not a directory. You need to show that reputable and independent third parties have found Critical Systems to be notable, and I do not believe you have done that. It's true that the language of the article is also promotional in tone (it reads, as another editor noted, like an advertisement), but to me the main point is the lack of references speaking to notability.
If you are still working on the article and do not want other editors to review it until you are done, there are several techniques you can use:
  • Use the sandbox.
  • Put the page in the Draft: namespace.
  • Keep the page in your own User: pages until it is ready.
Any one of the above techniques will ensure that no one even notices the article until it is ready. ubiquity (talk) 19:30, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

I think I've added enough for the speedy to go away, but still not enough that it would survive an RFD. Working with original editor. If we can't get any farther I'll RFD it myself.Naraht (talk) 16:40, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

I think the references are weak, but I agree, no longer a speedy. I added wikilinks to two comics he has worked on. Maybe you or the editor can find something more specific about his contribution to them? If he drew them, he's notable. If he was intern to the assistant inker, maybe not. ubiquity (talk) 16:56, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

I recently made an article called "Mt. Lebanon Basketball." It was made as a reference for my district about our basketball program. I was not done with it yet, i only had 5 minutes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamesarmistead25 (talkcontribs) 17:08, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Pier440 on Wild Escape

Hey there. The original article was at DaGuai LuZi. My concern here is that the naming convention may not be ideal. At a minimum, it should be "Daguai Luzi" to be using standard Mandarin capitalization (for example, you don't see "BeiJing" or "ShangHai". The "DaGuai LuZi" page is being redirected to Wild Escape. It was mentioned that there are some people who know the game as "Wild Escape". I've heard it called as "The Joker's Way" (which is the literal translation of Daguai Luzi). I just thought Wild Escape had a better ring to it.

The game can be found in lots of Chinese game websites.

And so on.

Is the concern more about the English name, or the relevance? I believe it is played enough to be relevant. Pier440 (talk) 20:00, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

I think you correctly addressed the naming problems with redirect pages. My problem is with notability. Your only reference is a webpage showing the rules of the game. Anyone can make up a set of rules and publish them on the web. Do you have any references that speak to who is playing the game, or where, or how much? Something that would show that the topic "has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject? I don't seem to be able to access the two you mention, and i fear they're in Chinese, so I wouldn't be able to read them anyway. ubiquity (talk) 20:26, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Rejection for speedy deletion of Namrata Yogi

Hello, there Ubiquity Speedy deletion nomination has been declined and removed the tag you put by pointing it as a deletable article, because of this concerns that the article is endowed with citations and references along with and has clearly indicated that it has fulfiled the requirements of wikipedia but you have complaint me of having biography or group of peoples how? Take a look to other such kind of artickles whether you find such or not.If you make thus detered to the newcomers then how do new comers get chance to help Wikipedia with writing articles ?Mahendra Niraula (talk) 14:48, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Majendra. I have had nothing to do with the article Namrata Yogi; you can check its history if you don't believe me. Perhaps you meant to discuss with me the article Dipika K.C., which I tagged for speedy deletion. Unfortunately, the article has already been deleted, and I cannot remember it, but if it had references and I still tagged it, it probably means that the references did not meet Wikipedia standards of reliability. Since I am not a moderator, I cannot actually delete articles myself, so the fact that the article is gone means that at least one moderator (in this case, Shirt58 (talk · contribs)) must have agreed with my assessment. If you want to discuss this with someone "official", you should take it up with him or her. ubiquity (talk) 15:24, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Lady Emily Foley

Hi Ubiquity Thanks for looking at this. I very stupidly saved the page I was working on before adding a great deal - just the infobox in fact. I have added some more now, hopefully enough to make it worthy of keeping as a stub. I plan on adding even more information in the near future. In future, I will do my working out in my sandbox. Apologies for the work I have put you to. Malpensilo (talk) 16:38, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

I removed the speedy as soon as I saw you had fleshed out the article. And I'm glad you know how to use the sandbox, even if you didn't this time. The Drafts space is also useful for keeping things under wraps until they're ready. Good luck with your article. ubiquity (talk) 16:46, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Is a soft redirect to Wiktionary. It is an important term, used several times on Wikipedia, mostly in reference to natural disasters and poverty, for example backward classes may be defined partly in terms of the percentage that live in kutcha houses.

It is possible that a short article could be made about the concept of kutcha houses and pucca houses at some time in the future.

In general soft redirects do not fall under the category of "test pages".

All the best: Rich Farmbrough17:32, 2 April 2015 (UTC).
But at the time I looked, it doesn't seem to be defined in Wiktionary either! This was what gave me the opinion someone was fooling around. Thanks for setting me straight. ubiquity (talk) 17:37, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Nothing Clothing Company

Hi

I have just been informed of the deletion of this page and would like to know firstly what is wrong with it? and secondly what would need to be done to make it allowed in your view.

The reason for deletion as promotion does not sit right and it is clear that the page is applying itself as a document for informational only purposes. This is heavily backed up by social media linking and providence of local and national press. The brand is very different to pretty much anything else out there and this is certainly something that is worth communicating.

The purpose of the page is really for the history and association of those that we partner with and support. I intend to update this regularly providing evidence for and linking to various charitable organisations and or celebrity associations, thus building an historical timeline of charitable influence which is what the brand is about.

If you feel that there are pieces that suggest promotion then feel free to go ahead and remove/edit those bits that you suggest are promotional. As far as I am concerned the page simply states who, what, where and why and is not dissimilar to many other brand pages.

Gaznutta (talk) 11:51, 3 April 2015 (UTC) Peter

Hi, Peter. I did not delete your page, as I am not a moderator. I did tag it for deletion, because I felt it was promotional, and a moderator (Samwalton9 (talk · contribs)) who saw it after I tagged it must have agreed with me, because he deleted it. Unfortunately, since the article is gone I can't look at it, but going by my memory, it was promotional in tone, and the references were mostly to social media, which are not considered reliable by Wikipedia standards. If you want to try again, you might find it helpful to read Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) and Wikipedia:Verifiability#Questionable sources. You might also want to take this up with Samwalton9 (talk · contribs), as he would be able to give you back a copy of the deleted article. ubiquity (talk) 14:43, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Hey there. Thanks for the review. I just wanted to let you know that it was just an introduction and that I was going to add more later. Thanks anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Diazabdulm (talkcontribs) 20:33, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Diazabdulm. When an article appears in the main space, it is expected to at least have an explanation of why the subject is notable, and references to sources backing up the claim. If want to start an article and then continue working on it over time, you might not want other editors to review it until it is ready. There are several techniques you can use to achieve this:
  • Use the sandbox.
  • Put the page in the Draft: namespace.
  • Keep the page in your own User: pages until it is ready.
Any one of the above techniques will ensure that no one even notices the article until you think it is ready. Let me know if you need help with any of these. ubiquity (talk) 20:59, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Declined speedy

I declined your speedy deletion nomination of Vartak Nagar. There is sufficient context to identify the subject as a 2015 Hindi-language film (so WP:CSD#A1 doesn't apply) and films are not subject to WP:CSD#A7 deletion. Also, a Google search for "Varak Nagar film" reveals a fair number of hits, so the Indian press is clearly giving this film some attention (enough to avoid even a PROD, I think). Speedy Deletion of page Bimal Patel

Hi.

I created the page Bimal Patel and it was deleted. You asked me to leave a note on your talk page for clarifications. I am new to creating on wikipedia, so could you please explain why you found my page inappropriate and also guide me how I can start afresh for the same page, what kind of material is deemed appropriate and whats the minimum requirement? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ParizadBaria (talkcontribs) 15:27, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Since the article was deleted (by moderator Just Chilling (talk · contribs)) I can no longer see it. However, I can see it was deleted on the basis of notability. To be included in Wikipedia, the subject of an article must meet the general notability guidelines. You must explain who Bimal Patel and why he is notable, and this must be backed up by references to reliable and reputable sources (that is, something besides tweets, self-published pages, youtube videos, etc). The idea is that if mainstream sources have found him notable enough to write about, he can objectively be said to be notable. If you cannot find such references, perhaps the subject is not notable for Wikipedia purposes, or perhaps it is too soon.
For a good example of an article which asserts notability and has references to back it up, see Bimal N. Patel. ubiquity (talk) 16:13, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Could you please have a look at the fresh article Draft:Bimal_Patel and let me know what remains missing? ParizadBaria (talk) 07:28, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Credit Cafe

Hi, this is Gireesh Kodali, creator of the page: Credit Cafe. I believe that the content of the article is not promotional and is for informational purposes only. Could you suggest what portions of the page needs further reference? Credit Cafe and its group (TS Mahalingam group) is well known locally, being in existence since 1935. It is a promoter driven organization and is closely managed by the third generation promoter group. While I do not have published references to validate some of the content, I could also look at notable individuals and wiki contributors to endorse the content. Do let me know how we may work together to iron out the page. Gireesh.Kodali (talk) 05:25, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Need help to understand how wikipedia works

Hey!

I was wondering if you could help me understand how Wikipedia articles work with Google? For instance, when I look up "Charles Correa" on Google, I see a box on the right side of my google search results, which shows information extracted from wikipedia. However, this doesn't happen when I search for "Bimal Patel" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bimal_Patel) Infact, this wikipedia page does not even show up in the first few results unless I search "Bimal Patel Wiki/Wikipedia"

Could you please explain what the logic here is?

ParizadBaria (talk) 09:35, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) That would be Google's Knowledge Graph. Nothing to do with Wikipedia, although it often scrapes our content. Yunshui  09:37, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Host Agent, LLC

Hello Ubiquity,

I see you have tagged Host Agent, LLC for deletion for not offering [[1]]. Thank you for your concern.

I will edit the page in an effort to provide this and then contest the deletion. I was worried about the page becoming an advertising page for the entity. That is not its purpose.

Internet_Professional (talk) 16:41, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

OK. Looks like someone deleted it before you had a chance to do that. If you want the article to survive, you will have to explain why the company is notable (just saying what it does is not enough) and need to find some external sources to back up your claims. Citing your own wikipedia profile and your entry at http://ecorp.azcc.gov is not enough. Please see the general notability guidelines and "Wikipedia is not a directory". ubiquity (talk) 18:56, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

You are mean? TO me? Why you are so mean to me?

Brandon O Neil was deleted. You are mean. It is a valid and perfectly fine page. Do not be mean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Freakonomy (talkcontribs) 23:03, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Your article on Brandon O'Neil didn't explain how he was notable, and didn't have any references to sources demonstrating that notability. Please read the General Notability Guidelines to get a better idea of what I mean. It is true that some articles on Wikipedia don't have many (or any) references, but an article on a living person must have them. ubiquity (talk) 14:04, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Jycui

Hello, Thank you for pointing it out, I understand your concerns and don't mind removing it as an article, it will go into my sandbox until I have time to flesh it out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jycui (talkcontribs) 19:14, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Great idea! I wish everyone would use the sandbox or a drafts page for articles that aren't yet ready for prime-time. It would save a lot of trouble and confusion. ubiquity (talk) 19:18, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

ELTS

Please do not delete the ELTS Page. I need some more time to add references. This Society is vital to English Teachers accross the North American Continent. It serves as references and open forums for all teachers to use. This allows them to be on the same page in terms of curriculum and help each other solve day to day problems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hayden19 (talkcontribs) 19:14, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

I am not a moderator, so I can't delete the page, only tag it for deletion. A moderator will see the page and decide whether it deserves to be speedily deleted. If you want him or her to see your reasons for not deleting the page, go to the page and click the button that says "Contest this Speedy Deletion", and add your remarks to the talk page. If your problem is time, I recommend that you move the page to a place outside of the main article space -- say, a Drafts: page, your sandbox, or some other user page of your own. Then you can take your time finding the references and getting the article ready. Once you put in article in the main article space, it should be ready for review and scrutiny. ubiquity (talk) 19:38, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

Duplicate warning

Sackblue14 removed a speedy deletion tag from his own article a few minutes ago, so I undid his edit and warned him. A few minutes after that, you warned him for the same thing. I just wanted to let you know that that warning was for the same thing and therefore unnecessary. KSFT talk 20:02, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Twinkle warned me that there was another warning, so I cancelled and refreshed, but I didn't see it, so I went ahead. Now I see it. Do you think I should apologize to Sackblue14? Or remove my redundant warning? ubiquity (talk) 20:55, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

women in Bangladesh army should be recreated

if you delete , please recreate the page . @ubiquity .yasmin542(talk) — Preceding undated comment added 14:26, 18 June 2015 (UTC) Yasmin542 (talk) 14:32, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

I tagged your article for deletion, but the moderator who deleted it is RHaworth (talk · contribs). You can ask him to reinstate the page, but you will need to have a rationale. Your article was very short, and had no references, so it was difficult to see why you could not have worked it into the already existing article Bangladesh Army. If your response is that you are working on the article, and intend to expand it and provide references in due time, I would suggest that you do this in your own User space (create a page called "user:Yasmin542/Women in Bangladesh Army") or in the drafts space (create a page called "Draft:Women in Bangladesh Army". In either place you will be able to work on your article undisturbed, and then move it to the main space when it is ready. ubiquity (talk) 14:42, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

women in Bangladesh army draft

dear ubiquity i have made draft, please read that and help me to write something more. yasmin542(talk) Yasmin542 (talk) 15:10, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Yasmin, this is not something I know anything about, so I can't help with adding more information. But before you write more, I think you need to come up with some sources. This will prove to people that are not making anything up, and that the topic is notable enough that other people are talking about it. Since this is English Wikipedia, it would be good if the sources were written in English, but that's not a requirement. Please read Wikipedia:Verifiability. An article without sources is worthless, because no one can know if the information is true or accurate. ubiquity (talk) 15:15, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

ubiquity how can i find reference? reference is not found. i have listened from someone, but she cant be found now. can't my information be told good faiths ? yasmin542 (talk) Yasmin542 (talk) 15:21, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

In the wikipedia sense, "good faith" means we assume you are trying to do good things for wikipedia. It doesn't mean we assume that everything you have to say is correct and accurate. Wikipedia is often accused of being useless because anyone can write whatever they want, without proof. This is not true, because Wikipedia requires Verifiability. I appreciate your frustration about wanting to write about something that you believe to be true, but how can people who don't know you (let alone the person you heard the information from but who can't be found now) simply accept that what you say is correct? I can only repeat that an article without solid sources is worthless, from the standpoint of an encyclopedia. ubiquity (talk) 15:29, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

LGBT rights in India

ubiquity please notice LGBT rights in India's first paragraph don't contain any reference. May be that is called good faith Yasmin542 (talk) 15:23, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Yasmin, that page has 44 references. It is a very well-sourced article. Not every word or sentence, especially in the introduction, needs a direct source. If you have 44 references for your article on Women in the Bangladesh Army, I am sure no one will object if your first paragraph is missing one. ubiquity (talk) 15:33, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

please read women's royal army corps

ubiquity please read Women's Royal Army Corps , i think that article's writer shall help me in writing Women in Bangladesh Army. Yasmin542 (talk) 15:38, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

ubiquity i need to create that article because i like army girls.Yasmin542 (talk) 15:57, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Excellent article. Notice all the references and other sources. Good luck. ubiquity (talk) 16:14, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

About Gloveone

ubiquity about the Gloveone article, i just created the short article because there are some references to it on wikipedia but there was no article. The idea is not to promote it but to let know the people that this technology exists because there aren't many articles about haptic technology and it is a reality nowadays. In anycase thanks a lot for your advices and I will rewrite the article as soon as possible. RowOfMountains (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 17:06, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Actually, there was already an article about it, titled Glove One. I redirected your article to that.
You're not supposed to remove speedy tags from articles you've created yourself. In the future, the way to deal with a speedy is to click the box inviting you to defend the article. ubiquity (talk) 17:53, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Alexandre Beridze

Please, clarify what kind of reference do i need to do to this page of a living person, in order the page not to be deleted. many thanks in advance, br, b.carotin — Preceding unsigned comment added by B.carotin (talkcontribs) 22:38, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Anything at all that supports the information you present. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources. It may be that one or more of the links you list at the end of the article will do, but none of them are in English so I can't tell. ubiquity (talk) 23:53, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law

I fail to see why the Journal's webpage was deleted when it is similar to another peer-journal at the University of Virginia School of Law: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journal_of_Law_%26_Politics Please let me know so I can edit the page. Tener311 (talk) 15:58, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

I totally agree with you. I see that someone else does too, as they have stuck a prod (proposed deletion) tag on it. If that doesn't do its job in a week, you can nominate it for a deletion discussion (xfd).
The way to save pages like this is to make sure they pass WP:GNG — find reputable third-party sources (NOT your website, or blogs, or a Facebook page) that support the journals notability. Neither your page nor the UVaLaw page had ANY of these. ubiquity (talk) 09:51, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Lean Behaviours

Ubiquity. unreferenced, uncategorised, dead end and essay-like. Nice comments from you. Perhaps its the first text I have placed on Wikipedia and perhaps the text is draft and perhaps it has yet to be categorised and developed. Contribution will not grow with greetings like that. Happy to admit I am completely new to this. In your mail to me you referred to "Lean Behaviours". That was an incorrect reference. I refer only to "Lean Behaviour" which is not plural. Lean Behaviour is not defined on Wikipedia at all. The "Lean Manufacturing" definition is however present and whilst is based on a lot of references, literature and is popular, this definition of Lean Manufacturing is quite misled (based on a whole career delivering Lean in World Leading organisations). No organisation will ever replicate Toyota's success by copying its model. The reason for this is that the primary Lean Behaviour (decision making) is not defined as part of the Toyota Production System. A suite of 5 lower level behaviours are and as described in Womack and Jones book Lean Thinking. The definition of Lean Manufacturing as present on Wikipedia at the moment is far too complex and off the point. It is missing from mans knowledge that Lean Behaviour as in one and one only behaviour needs to be adopted to replicate Toyota's success and that is as I have started to describe in the article, hence a unique definition is profoundly important. In time, Lean Behaviour as a definition will be developed to be simpler and more relevant than the current prominent definition of Lean Manufacturing. The formal definition of Lean Behaviour needs to be developed further by me and by the community to eventually overshadow the Lean Manufacturing definition. However this will take time. Most organisations are failing in their Lean Manufacturing investments and this is for a great many reasons, all of which stem back to a lack of understanding of Lean behaviour and what is involved in achieving it. For a range of reasons its really very important that Lean Behaviour as a definition is defined specifically and separately from Lean Manufacturing and at the same level. Please do supply helpful insights and I will review. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NicholasRacster (talkcontribs) 16:53, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

I'm sorry you didn't find the comments helpful, but they were accurate. When an article appears in the main space of the encyclopedia, it should be ready. It should state clearly what its topic is, why that topic is notable, and should have references to sources that support the idea of notability. It should be categorized, and other articles should link to it (that is, not an orphan), so that people can find it. It should be written in an encyclopedic style (that is, not an essay). It should refer to other articles (that is, not a dead-end) so that it doesn't appear to be isolated from the rest of human knowledge. The main article space is not an incubator, where you can mount drafts and wait for help. If you want that, please use the Drafts namespace. Or a page in your own user space (for example, User:NicholasRacster/Lean Behaviour). Then you can take all the time you like to make sure your article meets Wikipedia guidelines. If you feel you need more help than that, try the Article wizard.
The note you received from me was auto-generated based on my review comments, so whatever it called your article was the actual title of the article. After I saw your note above, I double-checked the title of your article, and it was "Lean Behaviours", with an "s". Perhaps this was not intentional on your part.
I am not a moderator, so I am not the person who deleted your article. That was Jimfbleak (talk · contribs). If you ask him, he may be able to restore your draft to your user space. ubiquity (talk) 18:25, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
