Help me!

Please help me with finding an orbit image of the orbit of the asteroid 2019 BE5. I have found some, but they aren't free. -322UbnBr2 (Talk | Contributions | Actions) 05:01, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello! In some cases, non-free images may be permitted if their use can be justified. The exact guidelines detailing when a non-free image may be uploaded and used are located here. Keep in mind that they all must be met, as this is a policy with legal implications and any one of the criteria not being met will at best result in speedy deletion of the file(s) in question.
In this specific case, though, it might even be better to not use an image at all for now. I did a quick search myself and can't find anything that has enough contextual significance (no up-close or detailed images), i.e. its omission is not detrimental to understanding of the topic. (Also, many articles about astronomical objects do not have images for similar reasons.)

In general, it would cause less trouble if you kept any additional subpages in your own userspace. You can refer to these userspace workpages on the talk page of the article so others can see your work without having all the details spill out on the talk page. Practicing with templates

The 'notifications' are almost always a matter of enrolling a page in a category that is watched. You could make your own fake category, unwatched except by you, to enroll the pages in to see if your test templates are doing what's needed. But I confess this seems like a detail you should have already known if you are contemplating playing around with such templates. Daniel P. Faigin is both the author and publisher of that website. He did not have submit his work for review by another person. Since he's not an expert in the history of highways, we aren't supposed to use that site as a source. That's why I've tagged the source as a SPS. Imzadi 1979 → 03:53, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Your counter-vandalism work generally looks fine, although there was a mistake in Special:Diff/1003047259 – although you reverted an edit that removed content, that content was inappropriate and should have been removed. Please practice counter-vandalism with rollback over the next month and take care not to rollback edits in violation of WP:ROLLBACKUSE. Thanksgiving and Easter detection

How can you make a page transclude on another page only Thanksgiving or Easter? For example, to make a particular page transcluded on April Fools you would type this:

I'm not aware of a mechanism built into the Wikipedia software that will allow you to do this automatically. A similar issue came up once regarding Manhattanhenge. The approach I would take is to build a two- or three- year switch statement with the dates you want built in, then remind yourself to update it from time to time. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 02:59, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
