If you have time to contribute further to the above article (in the spirit of drama-out) it would be much appreciated. It may involve going to the library (and possibly also inter-library loans), so I understand if you have other priorities for these days. Geometry guy 20:01, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
Obama Talk
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk: Barack Obama, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. QueenofBattle (talk) 23:19, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for making WP:NODRAMA a success!
Thank you again for your support of the Great Wikipedia Dramaout. Preliminary states indicate that 129 new articles were created, 203 other articles were improved, and 183 images were uploaded. Additionally, 41 articles were nominated for DYK, of which at least 2 have already been promoted. There are currently also 8 articles up for GA status and 3 up for FA/FL status. Though the campaign is technically over, please continue to update the log page at WP:NODRAMA/L with any articles which you worked during the campaign, and also to note any that receive commendation, such as DYK, GA or FA status. You may find the following links helpful in nominating your work:
- T:TDYK for Did You Know nominations
- WP:GAC for Good Article nominations
- WP:FAC for Featured Article nominations
- WP:FLC for Featured List nominations
- WP:FPC for Featured Picture nominations
Again, thank you for making this event a success! --Jayron32.talk.say no to drama 02:07, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Scott Janke
If you're asking how I found about the article, I stumbled acrosss it while looking at articles on rr.com. I then did some research and decided to see if anyone had created an article here. I found the article by just typing his name in the search field. From there I just made the edits. Ulric1313 (talk) 17:23, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, no...
I don't want to seem hostile, but given that the editor seemed to be acting solely as a public-relations person for the town, I can't see my way clear to do that. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:12, 29 July 2009 (UTC) Not Suomi, but hopes to visit there someday
- I have left additional comments for you, F203, at Mike's talk page. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 15:14, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- Until I went to their website, I was blithely ignorant of the Milwaukee link. My Milwaukee links are to the Sewer Socialists, not to the millionaires (although I do live on Brewers' Hill). My years in Florida were in working-class suburbs of Miami like Opa-Locka and Hialeah. Do you live in Florida yourself? --Orange Mike | Talk 15:48, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- Too hot? Oh, yeah. Only time I've ever been back was for an AFSCME international convention; stayed in the air-conditioning every second I could. Milwaukee's the place for me, ya hey! --Orange Mike | Talk 15:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Scott Janke
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Scott Janke. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scott Janke. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:19, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi - I removed your posting from the ANI noticeboard, because we can't watch all the articles about those countries, and posting a suggestion at a high-profile board might actually give people ideas that they wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Thanks, Black Kite 19:26, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Clive Revill
I saw that you edited Clive Revill. He is a good actor and worthy of an article in WP. However, since he is an old man, I fear that the notability guidelines may preclude him. I am discussing on the Wikipedia talk:Notability (people) page about possible optional objective criteria. The usual subjective criteria would remain. However, if Clive Revill were ever threatened with deletion, having objective criteria may save him. After all, he is an old man whom young teenagers probably haven't heard of and wouldn't mind killing him off Wikipedia.
People familiar with Clive Revill's work know that he has been in many, many films and in theatre. If there were an optional objective criteria, say, noting that acting in more than 25 films is an optional criteria to establish notability, then Clive Revill would be assured its rightful place in this encyclopedia. What are your thoughts? User F203 (talk) 20:36, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- I am certain that you have nothing to worry about. The Clive Revill article is quite objective in its mentioning of his accomplishments and activities. His age will not make him an easy target. I am flattered you requested my opinion. Contact me if the article is ever targeted for deletion.--SidP (talk) 21:16, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with SidP. Your idea of an objective criteria with number of film appearances is worth pursuing, but did the great stage actor Paul Scofield make over 25 films? Certainly, Revill has to stay based on his quirky film work in the 60s and 70s, his portrayal of Fagin on stage, and last but not least his "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" appearances. That should be enough to secure his listing for posterity.GBS2 (talk) 14:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Larry French (business)
A tag has been placed on Larry French (business) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Larry French (business)
Hi there User F203! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, Larry French (business). This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD A7. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:Larry French (business), administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:16, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Ronald Kramer (business)
A tag has been placed on Ronald Kramer (business) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
