Image copyright problem with File:Fetisch.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fetisch.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Re:Fb templates[edit]

Hello Verwolff,

you idea sounds good on the first glimpse, but I wouldn't support it at the moment simply because team naming would be very difficult to handle.

As of now, every team has its own template (to be found in this category) including displayed name, article name, country, abbreviation (not necessarily three letters, but in the most cases) and another parameter I have not understand yet. Naming conventions of these templates are mostly (with historic exceptions) following two rules:

  1. Omit any kind of "FC", "FK", "SK", "AS", "NK" or similar abbreviations for "football club" unless they are needed for distinction
  2. Use the most common English name which is sufficient enough to distinct two clubs (e.g. Dynamo Dresden, Dynamo Kiev, Dinamo Minsk, Dinamo Brest instead of just "Dynamo")

Now, for example, the Serbian club Crvena Zvezda is called "Roter Stern" in German, "Estrella Roja" in Spanish, "Etoile rouge" in French, "Red Star" in English and so on and so forth. Various other clubs have different names in several languages. I can name at least three German clubs which have German common names which differ from the English ones.

Another issue: What are the usual Wikipedia procedures when a club - out of the blue - decides between seasons (or even worse, during the season) to change its name? Exactly, the article is moved to a new name. So as a consequence, we need a new team template as well because we don't want to change ALL the names of this team for all seasons, plus we need to change the article name on every template the team had before. Now if a team has already had like, let's say, twenty name changes, you have twenty different template which only distinct themselves by the common name of the team (and perhaps the abbreviation), which is on the borderline to sillyness and a maintenance nightmare.

The problem might be solved on the first thought if the existing templates are re-written to use the common [[Article name|displayed name]] syntax, but this could (and will, trust me) lead to naming inconsistenices between articles, which results in a maintenance disaster as well. The team templates were introduced to avoid those inconsistencies.

All of the above is applicable to competition and round templates as well.

By the way, I assume that you want to transfer just the standings and the results parts of the template series. There are a lot of other templates in use as well, but those are mainly used in team season articles where they serve the stat-happy community. As of now, if at all, only the temps named "fb r(2) xxxx" and "fb cl(2) xxxx" (and perhaps the "fb match" template) should be exported, and only if the problems which may arise have been thoroughly discussed. I suggest that you take your proposal to the football project discussion page as well in order to get a more broadly input.

Bot flag on it.wiki[edit]

Hi! I've seen your request for flag on Wikipedia:Bot/Autorizzazioni/Richieste. Last week there was a lack of bureaucrats on our wiki; now we are ready to consider your request. But you should do some 50 edits on our wiki at least, so that we can give a valutation and decide to flag your bot. Thank you! Template deletion[edit]

You just added {{db|Template that are not employed in any useful fashion and it's substantial duplications of another template}} to several templates. There are two problems with this -- you didn't use the correct template, and you didn't indicate which other templates these are duplicates of. The correct format is {{db-t3|~~~~~|Other template name}}. It would be helpful if you could update these nominations. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 16:12, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Dublin_Bus_Roof_Torn_Off.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Dublin_Bus_Roof_Torn_Off.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 23:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bot flag on bn[edit]

Please get a bot flag on bn: before running your bot again. Please apply at bn:WP:BOT. --Ragib (talk) 20:32, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Networked Media Tank, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Orphaned non-free media (File:Behemoth - Demigod.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Behemoth - Demigod.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:04, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Polish Third Level seasons has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Alex (talk) 16:24, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Leanna Wellwood has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. -- Patchy1 10:19, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
