Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Vishnu Sahib, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Hindustani language did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Urdu; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Largoplazo (talk) 23:36, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your message to Pasword1

[edit]

Vishnu, Pasword1's actions were improper, but telling them "Don't come back" was an inappropriate way to address them. Please read WP:Civility. Largoplazo (talk) 11:25, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you say so I will--Vishnu Sahib (talk) 22:08, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please don't WP:edit-war as you did here. There is already discussion going on covering this issue at the bottom of this section, I see you've not participated in that discussion. Reverting others without discussing is likely to get you WP:BLOCKED.VR talk 17:55, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Rigvedic tribes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indo-Aryan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

That civilization existed in the geographical area of those countries I tagged, not Iran, so it seems appropriate.--Vishnu Sahib (talk) 22:59, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
