A tag has been placed on Draft:Vision Education, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Vision Education is non-profit project
they are not making a penny just funding this specific region in Iraq Vision Education (talk) 15:41, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have never understood why so many people who come to Wikipedia to use it for promotion assume, when they are informed that doing so is not allowed by Wikipedia policy, that the policy applies only to promotion for monetary gain. It doesn't: it applies to any kind of promotion. JBW (talk) 15:54, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking the time to respond to me dear
I do not get it why it is so hard to create a wikipedia page for your organization.
our NGO has pages across all platforms and it would not hurt to have an official channel for the reasons i mentioend earlier!
I mean i see all kinds of organizations here so i thought i would give it a try.. and it is solely informational not promotional

You can write pages full of such language as "transcends mere learning and serves as a powerful catalyst for positive societal change", "foster an environment of academic excellence and social development, contributing to the advancement of education" etc etc... and say that it is not promotional? JBW (talk) 21:06, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks JBW for taking the time to respond.
These are the wordings from our official website
The intention is to have an article for vision education on this platform like our presence on the rest of the platforms Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X
I do not want to take much of your time, I have only visited wikipedia to learn not creating so do not mind me this is my first time creating an article
long story short, should i try to amend anything? what are the chances to have an article for our NGO on Wikipedia? Vision Education (talk) 22:36, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a directory, so an organization is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of an organization, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the organization must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what an organization wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. It seems as if you have made the common mistake of believing that Wikipedia is a marketing channel like social media, but it is not. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:00, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, copying and pasting text directly from your website is a copyright violation. Also, because some derivative works may be commercial, we cannot accept materials that are licensed only for educational use or even for general non-commercial use. Releasing the material is both permanent and irrevocable. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:03, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the clarification
like I said this is all new to me and I will make sure we will fix all the mentioned comments, Vision Education has already received coverage in multiple reliable sources especially official mission of the countries in the area. Please advise how can I provide all these data as proof.

Your first priority should be requesting an unblock using the {{unblock-spamun}} template, as described in the block notice below. Your account name violates Wikipedia's username policy; accounts are for individuals, not companies, organizations or groups of people. Your account name must therefore reflect individual use, and you must guarantee that you do not share access with anyone else.

Also, if you are either employed by or paid to represent Vision Education's interests, then you must disclose this. Wikipedia has a strict and mandatory policy about disclosure of paid editing. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:00, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. JBW (talk) 15:49, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
