Regarding your attempt to add a picture to Licio Gelli's biography, the problem is that the free license that the picture has been uploaded under on the Italian Wikipedia is not compatible with Wikimedia Commons or the English Wikipedia, therefore it cannot be used on either. If Gelli were deceased, it might be possible to upload the picture as a non-free file but, since he is alive, we cannot use non-free depictions of him on the page. Therefore, in order to add a picture to his biography, you will need to find a free picture. I don't know how much I can help you with that, but a good place to start might be this essay on acquiring free images and Wikipedia's policies on non-free files. Hi. When you recently edited Minor Calvo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

GW Pharmaceuticals

[edit]

Hello. I have removed the list of patents from this article for the following reasons:

  • It fails WP:INDISCRIMINATE. We should not include long lists of patents that company holds simply to have lists of patents that a company holds. If you want to say that the company has a lot of patents, you could probably find a source for that statement and make it in a sentence or two.
  • It fails WP:Notability. The fact that a patent exists is not notable. The fact that a company owns a patent is not notable either without context, which was not provided in the list.
  • There is no obvious encyclopedic reason for its inclusion in the article. If you were simply trying to list the patents that the company owns, that is not encyclopedic information. If you were trying to show that the company has a lot of patents, then you've created an original synthesis, which is not what Wikipedia is for.
  • It's ugly and makes the article a lot less readable.

Whether or not you agree with my assessment, I ask that you leave the article as it stands until this difference can be worked out on the talk page. Thank you. --Aurochs (Talk | Block) 05:36, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Exxel Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. "420" collaboration

[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Cannabis, you are invited to help organize the project's upcoming "420" collaboration, which is scheduled for April 2017. Yes, we're a few months away, but we're hoping to get the ball rolling by getting buy-in from experienced Wikipedia editors and seek help fleshing out some goals and ideas for a successful campaign. We also plan to conduct both on-wiki and offlline outreach so non-Wikipedias can also contribute. If you are interested in participating, please sign up and contribute to the ongoing discussions. All editors are welcome! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:55, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
