Speedy deletion nomination of Clarence Addison Shaler[edit]

Hello WaupunKnight,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Clarence Addison Shaler for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Contest of Deletion[edit]

Clarence Addison Shaler is an incredibly important individual to the history of Waupun, Wisconsin. We have countless books and documents about him and his contributions to the city at the local library and museums. I created his page to have generalized outline of who he was to give reference to those who are interested in knowing. I simply did not have enough time to completely fill out his article with all necessary information due to lack of on-hand materials which I was collecting as of finishing the creation of said article. If you hadn't deleted it the day of its creation, I would have had plenty more time to actually fill out his biography.

There are countless other people who have articles (that I've linked in articles previously) who are even less important than Mr. Shaler. I would not have created his page if he was not important or notable in some way.

Notice

The article Edwin Hillyer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of satisfying Wiki9pedia's notability guidelines

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Contest of Deletion[edit]

Edwin Hillyer was one of the most important individuals to the history of Waupun. I have read the guidelines and what I've so far added meets all. I was collecting the required materials to expand upon what I've already written to properly explain who he was and what he did.

I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]
