Hello Wiki.Gunjan,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Tripura Board of Secondary Education, may be copied from http://www.tbse.in/tbse/Overview.aspx. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 20:21, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tripura Board of Secondary Education, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.tbse.in/tbse/Overview.aspx.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Public domain vs. public information[edit]

Hello, Wiki.Gunjan.

As an administrator who works heavily with copyright, I was asked to speak to you about some of your recent contributions and be sure that you clearly understand the distinction between public domain and public record. Documents that are public records are free for examination by the public, but this doesn't necessarily mean that they are in the public domain - free for use by anyone for any purpose. Looking at one of the websites from which you've copied, [1], you see that they claim full copyright protection at the bottom of the page: "Copyright 2008 TBSE, TRIPURA, INDIA. All right reserved." Certainly, you are allowed to take information from copyrighted sources, but you are not allowed to take language or (in some cases) structure from them unless we can verify permission (or unless you are making a brief and clear quotation).

Wikipedia:Copy-paste may be useful as a high level overview of our policies. You might also want to read the more detailed Wikipedia:Public domain, especially in section 13: Wikipedia:PD#Public_records.

Copyright law in India does exclude certain kinds of governmental documents from copyright protection, but not all. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to come by my talk page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:05, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple accounts[edit]

Are these you?

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:48, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reply :

OMG even I'm surprised by this!! the only authentic account aoung these is user:wiki.Gunjan rest are all fake there are 2 more that can be added in the list - User talk:Avni sorathiya and Janki_Ahir. I got one of them blocked yesterday.
The motto that I found for the creation of these "multiple" accounts is that they are promoting/advertising/endorsing their website [2] by inserting its links on various Indian surface transport related articles.
Ma'm trust me I'm not doing all this, I've been editing Wikipedia since Oct 2012, and you can see my Contribs, I never had any intention to spam Wikipedia, and bring down its credibility.

--Wiki.Gunjan (talk) 06:09, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, my friend. It's unrelated to you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:20, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: I wasn't going to block you. =) I noticed that you had created your account a long time ago while these were brand new accounts. I would look at the copying of your user page as a badge of honor because you probably annoyed them at some point and they decided to try to take out their frustration on you. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk)

When two such accounts came to my notice, all I did was - rollback/undo their edits which appeared to promote a third part website on certain transport related articles, I had to do this a couple of times as they were trying to insert the links in some form or the other. Isn't this what as an enthusiastic editor I'm supposed to do? Can't help it if it annoys them. I had no idea that they would take out their frustration in such a fashion :P Thanks anyways --Wiki.Gunjan (talk) 07:05, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:57, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article U.S.-India Business Council has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Organziation does exist but notability is not met. Outside of the current standing of the article, very little information about the organization in itself is mentioned anywhere in articles and are always in passing mention or reference.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
