Speedy deletion nomination of Sicktapez Vol 1: Mor Fein(album)

[edit]

Hello Wiki123qws,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sicktapez Vol 1: Mor Fein(album) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Tco03displays (talk) 19:48, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Orleans Technical Institute has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable non-public school

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Hans Riegel, Sr. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Kim Young the son.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kim Young the son.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:25, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wiki123qws,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, White Jesus: Revival, may be copied from http://www.livemixtapes.com/mixtapes/16712/rittz_white_jesus_revival.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 00:41, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced additions

[edit]

I have reverted your edit to Rich Cronin wherein you mention that he is buried in Sparta, NJ. There is no evidence in the given citations to support that statement. Adding unsourced material is generally frowned upon. Adding unsourced material and citing it with false sources can only be considered vandalism. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:13, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article TJ Palmer has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. 69.181.253.230 (talk) 00:21, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Supernova (Mr Hudson song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Electronic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Adoption

[edit]

Dear Wiki123qws,

I have noted that your contributions to Wikipedia have been almost universally reversed. Articles you have created and files you have uploaded have been deleted for various reasons. Edits you have made to various articles have been reverted. In general, your submissions do not appear to be vandalism, but rather a misunderstanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, even though these have been pointed out to you in numerous messages on this talk page.

If you continue along this path, you may well find yourself blocked for disruptive editing. Rather than continuing to head in that direction, I suggest that you seek adoption. A more experienced editor can take you under their wing and help you become a better Wikipedia editor. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:07, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. You ignored my clear warning to stop uploading images you found on the Internet to Wikipedia. You're blocked for 48 hours as a result. If you do this again after the block expires, you will be blocked indefinitely. Again:You may not upload images you've found on the Internet. Some specific comments: your image uploads show no serious attempt to comply with Wikipedia requirements for sourcing or rationale for non-free images, even for historical images. Given that, I assume that you can't or won't observe Wikipedia norms for image uploads. Any recurrence will result in a permanent block unless you provide a detailed summary of your understanding of image policy in general and of the use of nonfree images before you upload any more images, and that it is reviewed and approved by an experienced Wikipedian. That response indicates that you clearly do not understand Wikipedia's copyright guidelines. Except under a very limited set of circumstances (known as fair use, you may only add pictures to Wikipedia that either you created yourself or that are in the public domain. Finding images on the internet means you did not create them yourself and that they are very likely not in the public domain. It doesn't help your cause when you try to deliberately mislead Wikipedia readers by uploading a picture of Maurice Richard and calling it a picture of Maurice McDonald, or a picture of Ray Kroc and calling that a picture of Richard McDonald. Such deliberate misrepresentation indicates to the rest of the community that you are probably not here to help. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:28, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For the last time: you can't. Images on Wikipedia are either user-created or have been explicitly released with a compatible copyright.
