Afn Sheydveg moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Afn Sheydveg, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. About your new Article EREV(novel)

[edit]

Information icon Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page EREV(novel) to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. Thank you. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 21:14, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on EREV(novel), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright problem icon One of your recent additions has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Response to your comment on the talk page for the Erev book

[edit]

Hi. In response to your comment on the talk page for the Erev book, "This is a preparation for the description of the books for the article about the writer Eli Sсheсhtman": You're more than welcome to write an article (in English) about the book if the book independently meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines, but that doesn't alter the fact that the material you did contribute was (a) a copyright violation and (b) a promotion for the book. The first is illegal, and Wikipedia simply can't have it. The second is a violation of Wikipedia's neutrality policy: this is an encyclopedia. It's a venue for neither advertising or expression of one's subjective opinions. Largoplazo (talk) 22:46, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this draft should not be in mainspace. I have copied it to your user space here: /Sheidwig Graham Beards (talk) 12:32, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Graham Beards: -- It looks like you copied the most developed of several versions of this draft but put it in user talk and -- more importantly -- mislaid the edit history -- do you recall where it came from? Espresso Addict (talk) 14:16, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Espresso Addict: There were three versions here. I can restore them if you want. Graham Beards (talk) 15:17, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think that would be wise, Graham Beards, and then do a proper move to Wiki82esh's userspace or to draftspace, as otherwise the attribution for the longer draft is lost. Sorry, Wiki82esh, for the inconvenience. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 15:32, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I have done as you have suggested, although I am not convinced that it was entirely necessary. (The article was clearly intended to be a user subpage but the square brackets had been missed out.) Also, I noticed that the drafts include text copied from One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich without attribution. Copying text from other articles is allowed but at a minimum provide a link back to the source page in the edit summary. Graham Beards (talk) 16:01, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Erev has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced, likely not notable, author page does not exist either. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NBOOK.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please don't add links to drafts (pages in the Draft or User namespace, such as Draft:Ringen oyf der Neshome or User:Wiki82esh/sandbox/sunset) to "live" articles (those in the article namespace, without those prefixes in their titles), as you've done a couple of times now at Eli Schechtman. Generally, drafts are drafts because they're not (yet) of sufficient quality to be part of the encyclopaedia, so we shouldn't be pointing our readers to them. If you want pages like these to be linked to from other articles, you should submit them through WP:AFC, as you have previously with the Schechtman article. I hope this is clear; let me know though if you have any questions or if there's anything I can clarify. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 23:50, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Last Sunset (novel) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

- Cross-namespace redirects, redirects to user space (+ A3 No content whatsoever?)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Afn Sheydveg, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:39, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
