Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited YSL, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gunna. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bot edit at redirect page?

[edit]

Are you using a bot to perform edits like this one at Sources of French law? If you are, please don't, or at least, set the bot to wait an hour or two after article creation before touching it. Your edit interfered with my attempt to connect the page through Wikidata, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I checked the history and saw it had been changed by you. That was just a waste of my time. How did you even find it so fast, some tracking category? If you're using a bot, please tell me which one, so I can sets bots-deny for the first few minutes of existence of such pages when I create them in the future. Thanks. Mathglot (talk) 22:18, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I used Special:NewPages to edit it also I don't use bots Wikieism (talk) 22:28, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. I know of that feed, but don't use it, myself. Surely there must be some project page about it, that discusses what kind of edits are appropriate for brand new pages? For example, I wouldn't slap a {{More citations needed}} template within two minutes of some new article appearing; I'd give them some time to work on it, first. Same thing should apply here, as a missing hash on a redirect page may be a sign that the editor is about to link the redirect through Wikidata. Is there some Help or info page about the new pages feed somewhere that you know about? If it doesn't mention this already, it should; perhaps I'll add it. WP:CIVIL warning

[edit]

This kind of comment is completely unacceptable. Editors who repeatedly violate WP:CIVIL can be blocked from editing. Actualcpscm scrutinize, talk 12:12, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on No weapon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page 2001 has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. This was very WP:POINTY. You don't get to lash out like that just because consensus is against your edit. If you continue this you will likely be blocked, especially as you have already been warned once about incivility. Jasper Deng (talk) 20:07, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
