Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Aishwarya Nag has been reverted.
Your edit here to Aishwarya Nag was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.flickr.com/photos/80317939@N07/with/11016683695/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Goud or Gaud

[edit]

Please read WP:COMMONNAME. If you still think that articles should be spelled as "Gaud" rather than "Goud" then go to each of those articles and open a requested move discussion. If you don't do this but instead continue your campaign to change these spellings without consensus then you will likely be considered to be edit warring and that can result in your being blocked from contributing here. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 01:44, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sitush is absolutely correct here. The spelling in the article needs to reflect the title (and vice versa), and you can't just do unilateral moves, you need to do as Sitush suggests. Dougweller (talk) 16:18, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You have just done it again this week. Are you going to pay attention to consensus or not? - Sitush (talk) 11:35, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Geniac. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Aishwarya Nag, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Geniac (talk) 06:12, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sanctions

[edit]

You have yet again moved the various Goud Saraswat Brahmin articles without discussion. That makes it at least three times you have done this since 2014. You have been advised of WP:RM previously but seem to pay no heed, which is disruptive and likely to lead to sanctions being imposed. Please take note of the information below. - Sitush (talk) 08:16, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

I have initiated a discussion here and will try to link to it from all the other pages/categories etc you have moved today. Whatever the outcome, please abide by it. - Sitush (talk) 08:38, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Goud Saraswat Brahmin. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sitush (talk) 14:42, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
