Tom Denton[edit]

Just a friendly note on Tom Denton. You might want to read Wikipedia:Recreation of previously deleted pages before recreating a page previously deleted. Unless you address the issues that lead to the previous deletion, such an article will often get deleted quickly (as this one was.) HTH!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 18:17, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jack Haines[edit]

Hi Wrombo. I have reverted your edits to Jack Haines - you removed all mention of Cheltenham from his article, even though this source confirms he played for them before Liverpool. Thanks, GiantSnowman 12:44, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It could be a case of a player being on the books of a team but never playing for them - this would explain why he doesn't appear on historical line-ups. GiantSnowman 13:19, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Very strange - anyone called Haines at all? PS - you can sign your posts using four tildes - ~~~~ - which will produce your username and the date of your comment automatically. Cheers, GiantSnowman 13:46, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Jordan Tabor. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:11, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Wrombo! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 877 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Vicky Gomersall - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article FC Barometrics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Never played at a notable level of football

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:56, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Ctfc_logo.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ctfc_logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:13, 18 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 10:13, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

January 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to George Northcott, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article.  Chzz  ►  21:59, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. You are welcome to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit if you feel they have been resolved.

A tag has been placed on Marcus Jones (footballer born 1974) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sam Sailor (talk) 11:27, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bobby McCool, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hastings United (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Marcus Jones (Footballer born 1974), a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:09, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wrombo. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Marcus Jones (Footballer born 1974)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Marcus Jones (Footballer born 1974)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 08:01, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
