A tag has been placed on Pack 621, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Fuhghettaboutit 21:06, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Scouting in Vermont history

[edit]

Howdy Xmasboy. The text added to the history portion of the article Scouting in Vermont is not specific to Vermont. Also it violated wiki rules in that the text appears to be taken word for word from one of several websites. As the article is specifically about Vermont scouting, this must be rewritten to be pertinent to Vermont. references to the national organization is entirely appropriate in part, especialy if related to Vermont. However most of the text is now appropriate to the national scoutng article. Wanted to give you a heads up. Thanks. CApitol3 13:23, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Department of Motor Vehicles

[edit]

Thanks for your improvements to the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles. If you got the history from some copyrighted site, please delete it! If from some state site, it probably ought to be noted at the bottom of the subsection. Just put it there and I will format it later. Thanks. Student7 (talk) 16:33, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Migrant Justice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from migrantjustice.net/about. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
