Speedy deletion nomination of Nimt[edit]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Nimt, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Nimt and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 10:33, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Nimt[edit]

A tag has been placed on Nimt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Acroterion (talk) 11:31, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Nimt, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.nimtgroup.org/institutions.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:48, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Nimt, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Nimt has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.facebook.com/nimt.hospital, http://www.facebook.com/pages/NIMT/443493925579.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:48, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't remove article maintenance templates, as you did here. They help show other editors what issues still need to be fixed. For example, at Nimt the notability of the article's subject needs to be shown (otherwise the article could be deleted again) and there needs to be better referencing as there aren't many references, and the few there are are published by Nimt. Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Nimt. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I42 (talk) 19:32, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hey, then pls send the copy of deleted article on my mail sid746@gmail.com and i would recreate it keeping in mind all the rules and regulations.

Hello, Yahoo468. You have new messages at Yahoo468's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Your message on my talk page[edit]

You asked on my talk page for me to email the article that has caused so much fuss above. It seems to me that you already have it as a sub-page of your user page, so there is nothing for me to do except advise you. The article you were trying to create was a total mess. It reads entirely as promotional for the institution and that is not allowed. You have to learn a lot before you can write a decent article on that institution. I suggest you look at some other articles on educational institutions and see how they are written. I also suggest that you find a more meaningful title for the article than Nimt. Consider also that NIMT already exists as a redirect to North Island Main Trunk Railway, so avoid confusion by using a title that is not "Nimt". --Bduke (Discussion) 01:44, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Nimt_organisation_logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nimt_organisation_logo.png. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 22:14, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Nimt_organisation_logo.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nimt_organisation_logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 22:14, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free files in your user space[edit]

Hey there Yahoo468, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Yahoo468/nimt. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:02, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems with File:Nimt organisation Library.jpg[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Nimt organisation Library.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from black and white derivative work of http://www.tau.ac.il/humanities/archaeology/facilities/fac_library.html. As a copyright violation, File:Nimt organisation Library.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Nimt organisation Library.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 18:49, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I declined the speedy deletion request you made as I couldn't see any obvious link between yourself and the editor whose page you were requesting deletion for. TFOWR 14:01, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

...and I removed a {{db-userreq}} tag from User:Yahoo468/Enter your new article name here as it was added in the first edit, so I assume you added it by mistake? If not, re-add it and I'll delete. TFOWR 14:05, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Nimt services.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nimt services.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Courcelles 00:47, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
