November 2023[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Draft:SuperGears, and I noticed that your username, "SuperGears Games", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 06:06, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i dont understand this message. why i cant create my page when i have the all license? i need to use this "free encylopedia" to share my company. but i cant use my own page? so can you add my company into wiki? thanks for reply SuperGears Games (talk) 06:08, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your username can't be the name of a company. It has to reference a single person so it can't be "SuperGears Games" but you're allowed to use names such as "Yasin at SuperGears" or "Yakup at SuperGears" for your username. -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 06:20, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I try to change my nickname as Yasin at SuperGears but i cant. Where i can find it? Today we will publish press release with PR agency on all Europe&NA and MENA. Before we publish the news, i try to publish wiki page ofc... SuperGears Games (talk) 06:22, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can change your username here: Special:GlobalRenameRequest
Note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a website for promoting your studio or video games. That is why I changed the page. The way you wrote it sounds like an advertisement which means that somebody might delete it. I recommend changing it back to my version for a better chance of it not being deleted. -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 06:26, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that but its About us text on our website www.supergears.games you can find it on our website too. It was okay but some wrong messages like we cant publish Racing Kingdom on 2023. If you change it its okay for us. We are not try to promote anything. Just try to open our company page and if someone check our company, they can see we have an article here. thats all SuperGears Games (talk) 06:30, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that somebody nominated the article for deletion and it ended up being deleted. I'm currently trying to get it back. -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 16:17, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. I dont understand why its showing to advertise my company. I dont try to advertise it. Its really same with this page BossAlien. This is our game company and we will publish our game Racing Kingdom soon. Closed beta on the way like first quarter on 2024. Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 16:25, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Yasin at SuperGears. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Yasin at SuperGears. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Yasin at SuperGears|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 14:11, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. What do you mean paid advocates? We got an email from someone here and he/she said they can create our page but they want money so we refuse that message we didnt answer it. We(SuperGears) only try to create our business page here. Nothing more. Thanks. Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 06:36, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding the email, someone attempted to scam you- legitimate editors will never demand payment from you. It's also likely that they impersonated a legitimate editor. If you still have the email, please follow the instructions at WP:SCAM to forward it to Wikipedia.
We do not have "business pages" here. Wikipedia has articles, some of which are about businesses- but Wikipedia is not a business directory where existence warrants a mention. This is an encyclopedia with criteria for inclusion, which we call notability, such as the definiton of a notable business. The vast majority of businesses do not merit articles, as they lack the appropriate coverage in independent reliable sources.
If you work for the company, you are a paid editor and must make the disclosure required by the Terms of Use as instructed. 331dot (talk) 09:20, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As i said, im not a paid editor. I understand wikipedia is not a business directory. How can i change it like an encyclopedia? I saw this page BossAlien in the encylopedia and think that i can create SuperGears in the encylopedia. However, if you help me which points are wrong, i can change them :) btw i have the email from scammers so i will follow the instructions and report them thanks. Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 13:39, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your username is "Yasin at SuperGears", a picture of an individual named Yasin is in your draft, and you said "We got an email from someone here". Are you not employed by SuperGears? I'm really not trying to hassle you, I would just like to get this cleared up for you.
The sources in the article all are either an overview, social media, or reporting the routine activities of the company, no sources that show the company meets WP:ORG. 331dot (talk) 13:45, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its miss understanding. I said "we got an email from some here" and here were wikipedia. Email sended by " asher @ wikisubmissions.com " this email adress about paid editors. We are Demirden brothers ( Yasin & Yakup ) owners SuperGears. I hope this is cleared for you. Okay i will edit the page with WP:ORG steps. I hope we can finish the page with you. Thanks for reply Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 14:16, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As the owner, you financially benefit from the activities of the company, and those activities occur under your supervision. That you yourself are editing and you aren't directing an employee to do it is immaterial. You are absolutely a paid editor and must make the Terms of Use required disclosure. 331dot (talk) 14:22, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean you are absolutely a paid editor? With this argument or what? I just saw BossAlien page and think we can also create our company's encylopedia. Maybe its wrong idea but i try it. It is not nice to be answered with such an approach. Also when i create this page it was different. Now its changed so much with an editor and he/she said own feedbacks and we are doing it. ( like upload the logo, references link etc ) Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 14:30, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome to work on the draft about your company, that is not the issue- but you must comply with the Wikipedia Terms of Use and disclose that on your user page(User:Yasin at SuperGears). I regret and am sorry this sounds not nice, but by creating an account here you agreed to abide by the Terms of Use and those require you to make the paid editing disclosure. You can be blocked from editing for failing to make this disclosure. 331dot (talk) 14:41, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for this information too. Can you tell me exactly what I should write in my profile to indicate that I will not get paid for this? Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 15:02, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is your company your means of supporting yourself? You don't do it as a volunteer, for free, do you? 331dot (talk) 15:08, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes me and Yakup co founders. Not volunteer Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 15:19, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then you must disclose as a paid editor, as the owner of the company. 331dot (talk) 15:28, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a pattern for this or do we specify it directly like this? Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 06:10, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See here: Wikipedia:Paid-contribution_disclosure#How_to_disclose -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 06:20, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for coming @Cosmic6811 is this enough on my profile? or do i need to change it? Yasin at SuperGears (talk) 09:22, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That is sufficient to meet the requirement, thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:56, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
