Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Stevence SA per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Stevence SA. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am doing this unblock request as I believe I did not use this account abusively as a sock puppetry. Since the creation of this account, I made good bright edits. I only stated in my user page that this account shares as IP address with a blocked user, and that beside this account I hold no accountable for any account. There's no edit I made to User:Stevence SA with this account. No contribution towards that account. I am pleading with the administrator to unblock my account because the block was unnecessary to prevent abuse, as I use no other accounts excluding this one User:Yoboy'Yanky. Since the creation of this account I have never violated any Wikipedia policy, as I also added a userbox tag indicating that I share IP address with other user. Please administrators allow me to happily contribute my knowledge to Wikipedia, thank you. Yankyy (talk) 13:48, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • This users block was unnecessary, as he has stated before the block that (he shares an IP address with a blocked sock puppetry user.) Making it clear that he is familiar with Wikipedia policy for Sock Puppet. He has contributed so well to the encyclopedia since his account creation, the block was not necessary as he included to share IP address.

I strongly suggest this user to be unblocked with immediate effect and should be rewarded, Thank you.

Decline reason:

Sockpuppetry is obvious; and socking to appeal a block for socking doesn't help. 331dot (talk) 10:39, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Note to reviewing admin - I have also blocked the new account 3310GRE, whose only edit to date was to leave a comment in the unblock request template above, and who is similarly  Technically indistinguishable from recent socks in this case. If they keep this up we'll probably need to block their entire IP range, a substantial proportion of the edits from the range are coming from this blocked user.
