Welcome[edit]

Hello Yrithinnd, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Translation assistance[edit]

I hope that you can help me. On this page[1] is a section of text in Euskara (Basque) that reads:
Artzai Txikiyak eman biaizkit
lau bat arrazoi fuertiak:
ire ardiyak nere soruan
eiten dituzten kaltiak,
iru lau aldiz eman zizkatek
punta berriyai kortiak...
itxiko dizkat zelaiko langak
eta zelaiko atiak!

I was wondering if you could translate this to English (or Portuguese or Ukrainian) for me. I am specifically interested in the word "kortiak" at the end of the sixth line. Any help greatly appreciated. Vivafelis 20:30, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Gracias

Basque Portal?[edit]

Kaixo, I'm contacting you because you figure in Category:User eu, meaning that you speak some Basque. You must therefore be Basque yourself or have an intense connection with the Basque Country.

I am thinking that maybe was a good idea to create a Portal (or maybe a Wikiproject? or both?) on the Basque theme but I feel such kind of project requires more than just one person.

If you are interested, please comment in my talk page.

Enjoy, --Sugaar 10:41, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lo admito y me disculpo si a alguien he ofendido, pues esa no era mi intención.

I have worked through A, adding numerous excellent images to articles. As I went, I removed images from the list once I'd placed them. Was this right? I don't want to continue if I'm spoiling your list. --Wetman 12:06, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great idea! Is this list generated by a 'bot ? Wizzy 07:34, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do you generate this list? Is it assisted by a bot? OhanaUnited 10:31, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Andy Garcia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from appears to be form multiple sources including Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
