Am I speaking with a real person or an autoreply software? Zanelburrows (talk) 04:35, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Zanelburrows, PhilKnight is indeed a real person who has used a template to welcome you. Editors with a Conflict of Interest are not allowed to edit their article (which is why your edits were reverted), but are allowed to use the corresponding article talk page to suggest changes to the article.
The Jonathan Burrows (producer) article was deleted in May 2023, and I undeleted it the following month based on a request by an editor who said she was Jonathan Burrows' wife (see here), that the article had been written by his colleague, and that Jonathan was absolutely depressed when he found out that his page was deleted.
After I cleaned up the article, I messaged the editor who had helped delete it initially. The verdict was that the subject is still not notable (see Talk:Jonathan Burrows (producer)#Done cleaning), however no one re-nominated it for deletion.
You are free to nominate it for deletion at WP:Articles for Deletion. Jay 💬 07:21, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You may ignore the deletion nomination part. I see that Usedtobecool has nominated it for deletion. Jay 💬 07:41, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jay, the format on here is very confusing. I am not sure if the article needs to be deleted, but certainly the long rambling sections on his hobbies such as polo, and the reviews he put up of the shows he produced should not be on there. Zanelburrows (talk) 00:16, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you backtracking on deletion, since you earlier said .. [the page] should not even exist as he is not a notable producer.? What format was confusing? Jay 💬 05:02, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will leave that determination up to you experts. I just think that the restaurant and definitely the polo parts are irrelevant. His work with Fletch is notable enough I suppose. I really just wanted to get rid of the parts about his hobbies which shouldnt be there. He's not a bad guy or anything, just very old and is unfamiliar with proper wiki formatting. I apologize for taking up your time with this. I totally get why you guys have COI guidelines now. :) Zanelburrows (talk) 06:28, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Given your claim to be his son, you should not edit the article directly, especially during this period it is nominated for deletion. David notMD (talk) 13:43, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
