Why are my changes to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial article being reverted? By whom? I'm happy to discuss them. How? Zhorec (talk) 20:30, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me with... Why were my changes to "Vietnam Veterans Memorial" reverted? By whom? Zhorec (talk) 12:40, 6 June 2022 (UTC) Zhorec (talk) 12:40, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You changed some of the wording; as a longstanding, high profile article, this should be discussed on the article talk page, giving your reasoning for these changes. If you have independent reliable sources to support them, please offer them there. 331dot (talk) 12:52, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Dot,
I appreciate your concern. I'm Robert Doubek. I was a founder, the executive director, and the project director of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. As such, I was in charge of obtaining the design and building the VVM. I published a book about the project in 2015, i.e. "Creating the Vietnam Veterans Memorial - The Inside Story." You can find it on Amazon.com. It is referenced at the bottom of the Wiki article. As the 40th Anniversary is coming up in November, I'd like to get the Wiki article as clean and accurate as possible. I can send you a word doc showing all my potential changes.
Please help me understand the process. How can I make changes without someone reverting them. I can be reached at doubek98@aol.com.
Best regards,
Robert Zhorec (talk) 14:40, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
