December 18[edit]

"The Interview" article[edit]

Hello. Earlier today, I found myself battling vandals on the page for Seth Rogen and James Franco's movie The Interview. Is there any way that I could make the page protected, or is that the duty of someone else? Thank you.Overlasting Peace (talk) 02:13, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That needs to be done by an administrator. You can go to WP:RFPP to request page protection. RudolfRed (talk) 02:31, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comments not supported by source[edit]

Space Giraffe makes a comment that Yak includes obscenity in his early game versions to prevent media from printing them here. This is then appended by a source - except the source makes no such claim, even indirectly. ISTR that there is a template or tag that says something along the lines of "claim not supported by given source" - but can't remember the prose.

Any help?

Thanks. Chaheel Riens (talk) 12:11, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly {{Failed verification}} ? --David Biddulph (talk) 12:19, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a source, not reliable though http://www.java-gaming.org/index.php?topic=23777.msg198147#msg198147 --CiaPan (talk) 12:40, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
WP:SOFIXIT or you can just remove the false comment and / or replace it with something the source does support. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:41, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I can't. It's not reliable. I've put the link here because it may be interesting for some of us, but as a source it's not good enough to support fixing a Wikipedia article. --CiaPan (talk) 13:58, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've left it there, and slapped it with a {{Failed verification}} tag. The ref seems to be in use elsewhere on the page, so may be of use yet, hence I haven't taken it out.
Thanking ye. Chaheel Riens (talk) 17:19, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Creating a biographical page - summary box on the right[edit]

In most biographical pages there is a summary box that has the picture of the individual with stats and information below them, on the upper right. How do I find or edit that information? Is it automatically generated if I am creating a page, or do I need to make it? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Costarajah (talkcontribs) 15:23, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

figured it out, thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Costarajah (talkcontribs) 15:57, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

JULIA TAYLOR ROSS[edit]

Please help me delete JULIA TAYLOR ROSS page, I pressed save by accident and was not finished! Thanks! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_taylor_ross — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pepperbridge (talkcontribs)

@Pepperbridge: You can use the "Sandbox" link at top of any page to work on a draft and save versions when you want. It will be visible to others but nobody will probably care. PrimeHunter (talk) 21:22, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(unless it's a copyvio).--ukexpat (talk) 14:22, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
