December 28[edit]

Tom Barczak, Jr.[edit]

How do I open an article about me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tom Barczak (talkcontribs) 03:56, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you are notable by Wikipedia's standards, Tom Barczak, then an experienced editor will write an article about you. Please explain why you think that you are notable. Writing an autobiography is highly discouraged here. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 04:05, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As Cullen says, please don't even try. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:51, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
After having done a search for information about you, you don't seem to be notable enough for an article. See WP:AUTHOR for the criteria we go by to determine whether an author is notable enough for an article. Dismas|(talk) 14:00, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article Submission[edit]

I Have searched and searched but can't find any info on how to move my article from "my space" to the live wiki position. Pls help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ladydeenne (talkcontribs) 10:28, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Technical answer: wait 4 days, and you can move it. To be able to move pages yourself, you must be logged in and you must have an autoconfirmed account (i.e., generally you must have had the account for four days and made at least ten article edits with it)
If you move a page from e.g. User:Ladydeenne/sandbox to a page called just DJ Hypnotize, it would become a live article.
But it would probably be speedy-deleted, because of the lack of good references to show why the person is notable - WP:VRS.
Also, it needs to be neutral - that means you cannot claim "has been creating a legacy for himself as one of the most prolific and innovative turntablist" unless a third party has said so (such as a reputable newspaper). Stick to facts that can be verified - so maybe reword that to just "is a DJ", for example.
See WP:FIRST for more help. Igor the facetious xmas bunny (talk) 12:09, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oversight user[edit]

Hello. I have some serious problems here. Can an oversight user listen to my problems? I would be glad if he could give a reply on my talk page. Lumini pirate (talk) 16:31, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lumini pirate if you have something that requires oversight, you should contact the oversight team by email at oversight-en-wp@wikipedia.org You should not discuss it here on Wikipedia anywhere. -- GB fan 16:36, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SECONDLLY I WANT TO UPLOAD SOME PHOTO OF MY ARTWORKA (SCULPTURES, PAINTINGS EXT) BUT I DONT WANT SOMBODY ELSE TO YOUS THEM.. Hello, Napoleone500. Our goal here is to provide educational resources that are not only free as in costing nothing to access, but also free as in free to share and use. We accept artwork and photos of artwork that are copyrighted in limited cases. So, if you are Lisa Sotilis then we can certainly include some photos of your artwork. However, a photo of you yourself needs to be free to use by others. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 22:38, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
also note that the subject of the picture is not the copyright holder and cannot release the image - the copyright belongs to the person who took the photo . -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 04:08, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect Battle Formation[edit]

I would like to redirect Battle Formation to Battle Formation (geology), but because Battle Formation currently takes one to a line in a table under Edmonton Group I can't figure out how to do it. Where should I place the code? Georgialh (talk) 23:22, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Georgialh, what we need to do is rename Battle Formation (geology) to "Battle Formation". Since this means we need to delete a redirect, it will require an admin. I will see if I can find one. All the best, Taketa (talk) 00:06, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The article has been renamed by Huon. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 00:12, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Until I clicked on the links, I thought that this had to do with a military battle, not with a part of the Edmonton Formation. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:24, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
