Image?

A blonde woman and two dark-haired men, all Caucasian, are dressed formally and stand on the grass of a sporting stadium. All three hold microphones, and the man in the centre is speaking into his.

Hi, what's the problem with this image? I'm trying to add it to an article, but it's not showing on my browser; perhaps it is on others'? Jjamesryan (talk | contribs) 04:48, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jjamesryan: I can see the image, both here and in Jonathan Brown (Australian footballer). Firefox 56.0.1 -- John of Reading (talk) 06:02, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I see it too. Somebody will might, perhaps (maybe) tell you how to refresh server cache for a page, since I forgot how. 2606:A000:4C0C:E200:852E:7393:15B7:B79E (talk) 22:28, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, it's showing now. Thanks. Jjamesryan (talk | contribs) 11:12, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

How do you join a course/group in Wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bossman42 (talkcontribs) 15:13, 12 October 2017(UTC)

Looks like this might be something for User:Ian (Wiki Ed) or User:Maxel Ruptor to weigh in on. GMGtalk 15:28, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping, GreenMeansGo. It looks like Bossman42 has already registered for a course we support (hence the user page template). I'll follow up with them on their talk page to see if I can help them figure things out.
If anyone else is curious about the Wiki Education Dashboard or the Programs & Events Dashboard, check out meta:Programs & Events Dashboard. Students would normally have a sign-up link from their instructor that includes the course password. Editathons are similar, but may or may not require a password. Bio

[edit]

Can any person post a bio and history of himself or herself on Wikipedia? If yes, how does the person do that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:304:b34b:d150:708a:2d2c:b7b5:536 (talk) 18:47, 12 October 2017‎(UTC)

Hello anon. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and so is a place to write encyclopedia articles, and not necessarily "bios" like one might find on social media or on official websites. In order to qualify for an article, an individual needs to meet our standards for notability, which normally means receiving sustained in-depth coverage in reliable sources, usually things like newspapers, magazines and books. GMGtalk 18:55, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And even if you do happen to be notable in Wikipedia's special sense, you are strongly discouraged from writing an article about yourself. --ColinFine (talk) 21:28, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How do I make userbox tables collapsable? Sea Captain Cormac 19:13, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
