Moving page to mainspace[edit]

Hi!

I've done all needed corrections in my article named Samira Mustafaeva. How can we hasten the approval process? Is everything ok now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Рула Борзых (talkcontribs) 13 May 2019 09:28 (UTC)

The draft has been resubmitted; an AfC participant will review it in due time. There are nearly 4,000 drafts awaiting review and reviewers are volunteers like any other editor and do what they can when time allows. Please be patient. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 09:54, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You might like to remove the unreferenced opinion "Stretching trainings are useful for everyone, who wants to develop grace" before the review. Also, it's "the young gymnast" not "a young gymnast" to make sense in English. Best wishes. Dbfirs 10:54, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks I made these adjustments.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Рула Борзых (talkcontribs) 13 May 2019 15:17 (UTC)

How to join project pages[edit]

How do i join a project page? I'd like to help develop wikipedia. Piedypied (talk) 14:45, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Piedypied! Welcome to Wikipedia. You don't need to join a project in order to contribute, but if there is a particular topic area that interests you more than others you may want to join one for that topic. For most projects joining them simply consists of adding yourself to a list and working on articles about that topic and contributing to discussions about the structure and content of articles in that area. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:27, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrity Client Revision - Taylour Paige[edit]

Hi there,

I am the publicist for actress Taylour Paige and we would like some assistance in editing not her wiki page but the wiki pop up with a short description when you type in her name on Google. When you google "Taylor Paige" Wiki's short preview on the right side of the screen says : Taylour Paige is an American dancer and actress. She is best known for her role as Ahsha Hayes in the VH1 series Hit the Floor. Wikipedia Born: October 5, 1990 (age 28 years), Santa Monica, CA "

We would like to change to : "Taylour Paige is an American actress and dancer. She is best known for her role as Ahsha Hayes in the VH1 series Hit the Floor. Wikipedia Born: October 5, 1990 (age 28 years), Inglewood, CA

Please let us know if you can be of assistance. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.48.21.55 (talk) 17:12, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello anon. The informational box that appears when you google a subject draws from a number of sources, of which Wikipedia is one, but Wikipedia does not control what is displayed there. Wikipedia is simply one of many sources Google uses. If you would like to correct an error, there is usually a button at the bottom corner that says "Feedback", and you can use it to notify Google of issues with their display. Merge to a draft - what to do about redirect?[edit]

I have just merged Neuberg Diagnostics to Draft:GSK Velu, which currently enjoys a time-out for "Promotional, ACPERM gaming, questionable notability. Likely covert advertising". This leaves the undesirable situation of having a spelled-out redirect to draftspace; this will have to be manually retargeted when/if the target goes back to mainspace. Any preferable practices here that I'm not aware of? --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 17:34, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I took care of it. In the future, you can tag the redirect with {{db-R2}}. See WP:CSD for more information on tagging pages for speedy deletion. --Jayron32 17:36, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Much obliged. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 17:37, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Jayron32 You deleted the redirect, but what about copyright attribution for the material Elmidae merged? ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:42, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes. I thought he had merely moved the article. Looking closer, this was a cut-and-paste merge. See Wikipedia:Requests for history merge for how to request a history merge of the deleted article for attribution purposes. --Jayron32 17:47, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored the page. The Histmerge tool isn't working for me right now, and the manual method is beyond me. --Jayron32 17:51, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think a histmerge is appropriate here because the pages have parallel edit histories. I'm not sure what the best solution is here though. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:54, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe just mark as proposed merge with an explanation that this will have to wait while the target is in draft? --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 18:05, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Separate edit histories means a history merge would be problematic. I have moved Neuberg Diagnostics to Draft:Neuberg Diagnostics without leaving a redirect. PrimeHunter (talk) 18:11, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to make a null edit on the GSK article with an edit summary indicating the moving of the other article; otherwise the attribution would still be broken. --Jayron32 18:41, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In the page history [1] I already mentioned the move two edits after the merge with a link to Draft:Neuberg Diagnostics in the edit summary. And the edit summary of the merge links to Neuberg Diagnostics which displays the move log. That seems sufficient to me. By the way, a null edit leaves no edit summary or other trace. You mean a dummy edit. PrimeHunter (talk) 20:13, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Anthony Appleyard: can you help here possibly? --Izno (talk) 19:04, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
{{Copied}} is pretty much made for these situations – best placed on both talk-pages. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:19, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template to add to articles to show there is an ongoing discussion somewhere regarding a facet of that article?[edit]

I'm looking to find a template to add to articles that show there is an ongoing conversation for consensus happening regarding a facet of the article. For instance, there's a conversation one article's talk page that applies to 3 more articles and it'd be good for editors there to see this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎Junknation22 (talkcontribs)

What sort of conversation? Which articles? There are some templates like that, but which one you'd want to use would be context-specific.~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 19:54, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The leads being changed to a different format / style.Junknation22 (talk) 20:14, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Junknation22 as said above, there's a few templates for this kind of use, but it would be suitable to have the article as example to see if it's suitable. Your account hasn't made any edits to articles, do you have the name of the article in question? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 20:28, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Junknation22, is this about Game of Thrones? If so see the response to this this query below. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 13:03, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bacame an adm[edit]

How do i bacame an adm.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickyjampr787pr (talkcontribs)

Nickyjampr787pr, edit here for a while (at least 1-2 years), learn the ropes and your way around, become intimately familiar with our policies and guidelines, demonstrate that familiarity in your edits, demonstrate good judgement and good temperment, find someone who is willing to nominate you, and then visit RFA. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:04, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

JESUSLAND MAP[edit]

Hi! Quick note - in that Jesusland arguably should include Alberta, Canada. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.108.169.189 (talk) 21:21, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That may or may not be true, but we don't make this stuff up. We report on what reliable sources (WP:RS) have said about the Jesusland map. Note that the source must be about a map in this case, not just about religious tendencies of Alberta. Otherwise, we would be guilty of "original research" (WP:OR) (specifically, "synthesis": WP:SYNTH) and that's a no-no. -Arch dude (talk) 01:57, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

editing a page.[edit]

Hi I added onto Ricky Tomlinson's Wikipedia page that he played santa in the 1999 Christmas film the greatest store in the world but it has since been removed as vandalism to a Wikipedia page but what I added was correct. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.9.102.126 (talk) 22:54, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for trying to help. We really do appreciate it. However, statements in Wikipedis articles need to be cited to reliable sources: see WP:RS. It's not enough that you know it's true. If you do not know how to make a citation as part of your edit, then suggest the edit on the article's talk page instead, and slap the name and link of your source in any old way you can. A more experienced editor can then come along and put the material into the article for you. If have the time and think it would be fun to help us out some more, then you can learn about adding a reference at Help:Referencing for beginners. If you create an account, we can give you some additional guidance. -Arch dude (talk) 01:51, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ricky Tomlinson#Filmography already lists The Greatest Store in the World (1999). You added it with poor formatting to Ricky Tomlinson#Film which is only for a few selected roles. PrimeHunter (talk) 10:25, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
