Highway tagging

[edit]

I used to tag higways and it was OK. But now it is not working properly. See D.400 or D.200 (older version) . Any suggestion ? Thanks Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:38, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - this seems to be about the Template:Jct - you may wish to ask at that templates talk page. ~~ OxonAlex - talk 17:19, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keeping a word together

[edit]

I was looking at the article List of band name etymologies, and on my browser this part:

  • Frente! — The Australian band took its name from a Spanish word meaning "forehead" or "front". The name originated without the exclamation point at the end; it was added for their 1991 debut EP release, Whirled. The rationale, as stated by lead vocalist Angie Hart, was while "[w]e don't write our name like that, but we thought we would on the CD covers because it looks good."

was rendered with "[w]" and "e" on different lines, like so:

The rationale, as stated by lead vocalist Angie Hart, was while "[w]
e don't write our name like that, but we thought we would on the CD covers because it looks good."

Of course, this only happens if the browser window is of a specific width, but when it happens, it's annoying. How can I avoid this? JIP | Talk 13:09, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a Nowrap template. I can't check if its works as my browser doesn't split the word there anyway. Maproom (talk) 15:36, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tulu Nadu Wikipedia disappeared and it was wrongly linked with Kanara wikipedia

[edit]

Dear Sir / Madam,

Kindly request you to correct the mistake that Tulu Nadu Wikipedia disappeared and it was wrongly linked with Kanara wikipedia

Tulu Nadu and Kanara both are different topic please do not merge it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NithinkumarDamodara (talkcontribs) 13:55, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

NB: The OP also posted this question 20 minutes earlier on the Teahouse, where it has now received an answer. @NithinkumarDamodara:, please do not ask a question at more than one helpdesk at the same time – doing so causes confusion and wasted duplication of effort on the part of the volunteers who (alone) staff these desks. Please also remember that we/they are all volunteers working, usually, from their own homes, and allow reasonable time for one of them with an interest in your question to respond. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.202.210.107 (talk) 15:06, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changing of Otep's wikipedia page.

[edit]

How is me changing the date the band Otep was formed in 1795 considered vandalism, but saying the band formed in 1995 isn't? The band didn't form in 1995. Every piece you have for that page clearly states that. So why is mine considered vandalism, but not 1995? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.116.52.189 (talk) 00:47, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Claiming 1795 for a current band is obvious vandalism even without your Highlander nonsense [1]. Stop vandalizing Wikipedia. Saying 1995 instead of 2000 could be vandalism or could be an honest mistake. The year sounds plausible so the error wasn't discovered. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:09, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ref number 137 should read the date of the newspaper as being 1924 - NOT 1912. Please fix as I can no longer do it on the device usually used. Sorry - Thanks Srbernadette (talk) 23:32, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
