Re: Section on "funeral & tributes"

"Internment" needs to be changed to "interment". These two words have different meanings and interment is the correct word.

Broken chart[edit]

The first chart on Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/United States medical cases/Michigan broke when the data for February 13 was added. I can't find a fix or even duplicate it with other data sets. Anyone know of a solution. With the unusual numbers generated for the x axis I am guessing it has something to do with the way the chart generates the dates. The wrong year was added by TomCat4680 in [2] but wasn't used in the output until [3] because the data is mismatched. There are currently 343 x values but only 331 y values so the 12 last x values are ignored. PrimeHunter (talk) 12:09, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@TomCat4680: I fixed the year but not the mismatch. There are still 12 more dates than case counts so the last 12 dates are ignored, and I guess many of the case counts are shown at a wrong date but haven't examined it. PrimeHunter (talk) 09:14, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@PrimeHunter: Yes and it says 2021 instead of January. I have no idea why. I didn't make the chart itself, I just keep it updated. Maybe it has something to do with the fact Michigan doesn't release stats on Sundays (they haven't since ~~Memorial Day~~ Labor Day) or major holidays (and the day before a few of them) though? @TomCat4680: You guessed right. Rmhermen added 12 Sundays from Sep 6 2020 to Nov 22 2020 in [4] without corresponding case counts. The same was done in the deaths graph. It was hard to spot because the diff is poor and it was done in the middle of the dates. I have fixed both graphs.[5][6] The deaths graph still had one more date than count. I fixed it in [7] after slowly tracking it down to another page the data was copied from. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:05, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, I mistakenly said they stopped reporting results on Sundays starting on Memorial Day earlier, but I checked and it was actually Labor Day (September 9), so June 10's death results were reported. @TomCat4680: I only deleted a date, not deaths. My edit summary explains it:

"remove Jun 10 2020 from deaths graph, was copied from COVID-19 pandemic in Michigan where it was added in Special:Diff/961855853 without a corresponding death count"

@PrimeHunter: There's sources for every single day since the pandemic reached Michigan (March 10) on the table at the bottom of the page. June 10 had 13 new deaths and there was 5,711 total deaths then per the link I added above. TomCat4680 (talk) 15:42, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning alert[edit]

Hi, today I was warned that if I continued to cancel the AfD alert I would be blocked. I do mea culpa. But my question is this: "If I received another such warning but on another subject would I be blocked?" Dr Salvus (talk) 17:50, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dr Salvus The warning says "You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove an Articles for deletion notice", not "You will be blocked". It is up to an administrator to decide whether a block is needed, based on the Wikipedia:Blocking policy. Warn Alert 2[edit]

Hi. Today I received (quite rightly) a warning that if I continued of delete the AfD alert I would be banned. I have made more than 2,300 edits to this encyclopedia all in good faith and when I'm wrong I always apologize. I would like to know if such a warning could harm a user? Sandbox draft[edit]

@Fifitrixibell: Hello, what you done is create a draft in your sandbox which although not ideal is an acceptable place to start working on a topic. However, the draft as it stands would not be accepted into the encyclopedia. Please review the guide to article creation and the notability guidelines at WP:NMUSIC. The draft contains no proper references which are required both for verification and to establish notability. Please see WP:REFB for how to add these. External links are not permitted within the content; perhaps some of these could be converted into references... Titles of pages are changed by moving the page to a new location. This can be found via the 'more' tab at the top of the page but will not be available to you until your account is at least 4 days old and you have made at least 10 valid edits. Hello Wikipedia. What can I do if someone is reverting things with no reason and I think that it is a hate for the specific topic that I discuss? For example the same guy has tried to mess around with other people too (as far as I see) with the same subject or whatever. Holloman123 Please engage the other editor in discussion on the article talk page, and please assume good faith and not that others are acting out of hatred. For example, if you feel an article needs to specifically call out that some wonders are Greek, please make a logical case for doing so, preferably based in Wikipedia guidelines. 331dot (talk) 21:41, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
